Second visit to this really fine restaurant. Last visit we sat at the window and had an incredible dining experience. This was just so-so. It was very crowded and a l was bumped by the wait staff much of the evening. Select your seat carefully! The foie gras was outstanding as was the beef tongue. Other dishes were just really... More

How did we never get to the Art of the Table? We have been missing a great restaurant for years. A small place, (but it is moving to a larger one in February) so it is necessary to book a table well in advance. On Wednesday through Saturday it serves a tasting menu with about six courses and wine pairings... More

The food is good but the atmosphere is extremely crowded and not at all fit for the expensive pre-fix menu. Good food needs a good ambiance which is definitely missing in this restaurant. Some tables face the wall and if you ask for a different one, a sarcastic smile is returned by a hostess with the intended meaning of we... More

We were able to get into Art of the Table at the last minute. It has a small dining room with a definite local feel. The place seats only about 25 people and it has a clear view of the kitchen. We selected the chef's tasting menu, a nine-course meal which is at the discretion of the cooks. Each dish... More

This is a small, quaint, romantic and, as the restaurant name suggest, artsy restaurant. I loved the feel, staff and farm/sea-to-table offerings. **Be sure to book well in advance.**

Great evening. We sat at the chef's table. Which is really the bar. Comfy chairs though, so no worries. This place is small. It makes intimate a cliche. With that being said, their menu and execution is no cliche. We reside is Charleston, SC. Which is a foodie sight budding up to NYC. I'm no foodie; but I can cook... More

I've enjoyed fancy shmancy restaurants with small concoctions on large plates, but yesterday's experience at Art of the Table has really made me question if I'm not just buying into some overblown concept. So the dishes looked great. But they did not taste amazing and I found that each dish had an excess of "special" ingredients. The foie gras main,... More

I booked a reservation for 2 here last night May 22. We were celebrating my boyfriend's 26th birthday and he loved it! We enjoyed the nine-course tasting menu, two cocktails, a bottle of wine, and an after dinner coffee. I would love to come back here again! It is pricey, but the staff were attentive, introduced every dish, and there... More

Art of the table served up 7 courses of chef inspired fine dining. One of the courses was the foie gras, a pretentious addition to any meal, that I would never order because of the inhumane way in which the ducks are forced fed in order to get their liver as desired. At any rate, it was okay but wasn't... More

The restaurant is small with a very cosy atmosphere. We were lucky enough to get the bar at the kitchen pass. We had seven courses total including two desserts and a bottle of wine. The food was excellent. Every dish was perfect. It was one of the best meals I have enjoyed. Service was prompt, informative and friendly. The guys... More
