The food is good, the coffee is good and the service is even better! I usually get the eggs benedict, but my friend got a Denver omelette (sp?) last Saturday. I am going to try it next time - it was PACKED with goodies!

2nd time visiting and very happy when I can get reindeer sausage in my omelette. They were very happy to swap potatoes for fruit and they had whole wheat toast. Great food and atmosphere can't wait to go again

Come hungry because there is nothing skimpy about the plates at Kava's. Friendly service. Hearty food. Neighborly atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.

Kava's is an unassuming place, one that you might overlook easily. But if you're lucky enough to go there your tummy will thank you. I've been there before, but it's been a while. I don't get into Anchorage that often and rarely have time to eat there. I lucked out last week and had a late-afternoon trip that put me... More

Our family was in Alaska for our summer vacation. Our 10 year old son wanted "breakfast for dinner" for his birthday meal. A quick search of Google and Trip Advisor turned up IHOP, Denny's and Kava's. We decided to go local! So glad we did! The kids (and grown ups) al enjoyed our breakfast dinners, infused with Hawaiian flair. The... More

Kava House doesn't look like much from the outside (or even once you're inside), but you can't judge a book by its cover! This diner is an Anchorage institution, and a favorite of the locals. Their normal breakfast food is delicious, portions are generous, coffee always fresh, and service is fabulous. But really you must try something with a Pacific... More

My husband and I ordered the pancake combo. We had the crepes instead of the pancakes. It came with eggs and bacon or sausage.

Hawaiian twist to meals, even down to the large portions and Hawaiian time pace. Reasonably priced, open 24 hours on the weekend. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast side choice of a pancakes vs toast, yummy 3 stack saucer plate size cakes. I haven't been disappointed with any breakfast choice. Loco moco is just like being on the... More

I asked about their hollandaise sauce and if it was made fresh in house or from a powder and the waitress said they use "A little bit of powder." They do make the food well for being made from powder and cans or previously frozen. The service was not so good. Didn't get a water refill once and water glasses... More

Prices are average for Alaska. You can expect to pay about 13-15$ for a breakfast entree. Food is good and hot. Service is friendly and they keep the coffee cup filled.

Thank AlaskaOm
