We just had the chicken broth noodle soup. The soup was tasty and nicely spiced and the veggies with it very fresh. The service was great; the server's knowledge of the gluten-free diet was really good and she steered me in the right direction. They even remembered to leave off the little deep fried shallots (not GF). We will go... More

We've eaten here a number of times in the last two years, and have thoroughly enjoyed each occasion. I just happen to be a "Phonatik" myself, and can't get enough of their's. My particular favorite is the rare beef, although I wouldn't pitch a fit if I had to order one of the others. I like them ALL. Ditto with... More

I was in Anchorage for a business meeting and came to Phonatik for an early lunch. I had read a review on it a week earlier in the Alaska Dispatch News. In the mood for some reportedly good pho, off to Phonatik I went! The reporter raved about the rare steak pho (menu item no. 2). If it was good... More

Ok, my taste may be a bit compromised, coming off of a 3 day fast, but hey, there's got to be a reason why I was craving a vermicelli bowl from here, right? Anyway, we have eaten here a couple of times before and liked it, and decided to eat-in last Saturday for lunch. The place is small, but has... More

We visited with family in Anchorage and just stopped at Phonatik for lunch. The spring rolls were fresh and a generous appetizer for the three of us. We also had the reign deer wonton- a novelty for us that we would not repeat. The highlight was the three Phos that we ordered- beef stew, your choice ( shrimp) and chicken-... More

This place is by far one of my favorite local spots in town. Their Pho is amazing. They have cute little pho puns every where. EVEN MY DAD LOVED IT.

We stumbled upon this place by accident and we were pleasantly surprised. Friendly (and funny!) staff and delicious pho and bahn mi. The sandwich was a bit small but it was one of the best I've ever had! I would definitely go back.

My husband and I were taken here by another friend couple and we really enjoyed our experience. Our friends got the Pho and they really loved it a lot. My husband and I tried the Fried Tofu sandwich and one of the salads. Both were pretty good, but my husband was pretty bummed he didn't get the Pho. I don't... More

I went to Phonatik on a Saturday night at 5:45pm. It took about 10 minutes before a waiter acknowledged us and took our order. 45 minutes later!!! we got our food. That's unheard of for a Vietnamese restaurant. My husband and I got the crab wontons and spring rolls to start. The wontons were over-fried so not good. I didn't... More
