We visited on a cold windy night. We arrived rather early 6.30pm and were seared immediately. Both of us to start had the terreine and salad-gorgeous dressing and salad so fresh. For main I had fish of the day , a grilled tuna steak with ratatouille-very flavoursome. My husband had a rare steak, was render as,juicy & tasty & a... More

We are two retired Americans, staying in L'Isle for the month of February. This great, decent, warm place is open more often than most. Nice selection on menu and they do and the food is good. The staff is genuinely nice, and happy to see you.

Lovely decoration with lots of antique stuff such as old sowing machine, old glasses and old advertising material. We were early for dinner but the waiter offered us to wait inside and being the first customers of the day we also got to choose the music (The Beatles). The menu is called Le Petit Journal du Chineur and is disguised... More

I ate lunch here alone, and ordered le plat du jour! The price was great! The chicken brochette was okay, but the potatoes were great! This place can fry potatoes! I am here in the winter, and know for sure, the other diners are French, and probably locals. I would eat here again!

Well located - be on time to get a table! Dogs are welcome. Multilingual service! The lunch was well prepared and served. Look for the plat du jour - you can not make a mistake! Enjoy the locals passing by at lunch! NOB, Løgstrup - Denmark

We had been here before on several occasions and it has become our "go to" place for a quick or leisurely meal. Ideally located on the Sorgue, the menu is simple Provençal fair. As always, typical French service, varied menu and excellent prices. We will "go" here again.

My wife and I visited L'Isle sure le Sorgue on our way from the airport to our holiday accommodation in Goult. We weren't looking for anything too substantial, just a nice, classic French lunch and a couple of glasses of local wine. Au Chineur was perfect. Good food, lovely atmosphere and very well priced. We'll definitely go again.

Located just next to la Sorge, you can sit and watch the swans swim and observe the life happening around you. Reserve if you want to sit directly next to the water. You can find the classics on the menu, nothing crazy, all simple.

Looking for a great meal almost along the river without the impression that you get charged just for the view? You just found it!

Great meals for both my friend and me. I don't eat a lot so look for 'light' and smaller plates while my friend loves food. I had a tarte avec Chevre et Mill while my friend had sea bass and risotto. Both meals were excellent and the service very good.
