Beautiful location, nice restaurant but spoilt by the arrogant young male waiter. We are an elderly English couple who have travelled extensively throughout France over many years and have always been treated with respect and courtesy by the staff at many of the Hotels and...More

We just had the most delicious dinner at L'Ecailler. Beautifully positioned on the river, the restaurant serves wonderful fish and seafood. We had oysters, daurade, bar, noix st jacques and salmon tagliatelle, all mouth watering and perfectly served by friendly, english speaking staff. Lovely iced...More

Based on a wander along the riverfront, this looked the best place to go. We went on a sunny June day and it was half full, all french apart from ourselves. Good fish soup, great fries with the steak. Hard to fault.

I had the catch the day (dorade royal) and I just liked it. Not more to say. I would go there anytime again.

First, not sure I would trust the electronic reservation system - booked one day before we arrived at the restaurant, no table with our name on it. They did acknowledge when I showed them the confirmation email but (insert Gallic shrug here) Did manage to...More

I am not a professional reviewer, and this is just my opinion. This was the first restaurant we visited during our two-week stay in L'Isle sur la Sorgue, and a good choice it was. L'Ecailler is just about the only local eatery specializing in seafood,...More
