Went with another couple for dinner to try the German cuisine. Overall, we were a little disappointed. The four of us were seated at a table that would comfortably seat two people. The house salad with the German potato salad and beets was very tasty, as were the potato pancakes. The rouladen was a letdown. The meat was very dry.... More

Went here for dinner with friends. the potato pancakes were delicious. The Hunter Schnitzel was very good but two of us ordered the Rouladen and we both agreed it was very tough and extremely salty with very bland dumplings. . The German Chocolate cake was a big hit. Too bad half of us were disappointed.

Visiting Omaha and looking for German food we struck gold. The place is a bit tired but the food is delicious. To make it even better their extensive selection of baked goods are the very best.

My older sister was in town, so I wracked my brain to take her somewhere "Omaha" and decided on Gerdas. It was a perfect choice; the staff were welcoming, and the food brought back memories of our Grandma. So glad I chose it!

Went to Gerda's for lunch in December for my birthday. We had a wonderful time. Food came out fast and fresh. The service was great. Can't wait to go back again when in town.

My dad was turning 60 and the only traditional cake he eats is German Chocolate. However, he stopped eating it after several subpar german chocolate cakes. This year, he asked for a cheesecake. My search began for the perfect german chocolate cake to suprised him with and believe it or not, here it is. When I picked up the final... More

Everything about Gerda's is refreshingly authentic. Lots of flavors and a great selection of Schnitzels and Spaetzles. It was all delicious! Even on a Wednesday night, make sure to call ahead for a reservation. We brought our baby and the restaurant was very family friendly, but it would've been nice if there was a changing table in the bathroom. They... More

We had lunch there and were so happy with the experience! The place is modestly decorated in German style and has an on-site bakery. I was disappointed because sauerbraten wasn't on the menu but the waitress let us know we could order from the supper menu. The hungarian goulash soup was delicious and filled with big chunks of beef. The... More
