Homemade pastas, sauces and salad dressings. What more could one ask for? This place never fails to please, and it's a place to take out-of-towners to really impress them with the fare this great family-operated restaurant serves.

This is a genuine local family owned Italian Restaurant. In my opinion, the best in Omaha. While there are fancier and way more expensive ones. This one's the best I know of in town.

Have been coming here since they opened when they only had about six tables. Always ordered the lasagna and the ravioli. Their pasta and ravioli is homemade and taste great. Portions are huge and we always get a second meal out of them.

I was flying solo in town for business and was looking for some Italian. As some of the reviews have said, the service wasn't the best. The waitress barely gave me any time and seemed very rushed. The restaurant itself was unique in a "home"setting and the food was good. The neighborhood seemed a little sketchy so go with a... More

Not impressed, we waited nearly 45 minutes to be seated and waited for another hour for our food to arrive. Two people in our group received cold food, another plate was under cooked and another plate received their meal over cooked. The staff was slow and not friendly and began charging our table for the extra bread while we waited... More

We met a group of friends here for dinner one Monday night. We meet up twice a year from out of town and had heard this was a great "neighborhood" restaurant. One couple arrived ahead of the rest of us and tried to get a drink while waiting and could NOT get anyone to wait on them. There was one... More

Recommended as a place locals go. If you want some good old fashioned carb-heavy pasta, this place is for you. Home made sauce. Friendly staff. Good choice for a belly-filling meal. Cheese sticks are also home made and huge. Calamari was probably out of the freezer bag (not awful, just very average). Would visit again.

My wife and I went to Malara's for the first time and loved it. The sauce is homemade and meatballs large and have lots of flavor. Prices reasonable and great family owned authentic restaurant that makes you feel good to be there.
