The place sells very nice bred and pastries, and a large selection of German canned and packaged items from German companies. For lunch, we got tuna salad sandwich (too small for its price) and the mixed sausage platter which was very good and good value too, but it reminded me more of street food in Germany rather than the food... this bakery specializes in incredible Lithuanian torts, cakes, and bread that are prepared and baked on site. This is an excellent place to stop for afternoon tortes and coffee.

We just happened upon this as we were driving by and decided to make a quick stop. Great kolaches done the right way (not too dry or too soggy) and fabulous sugar cookies. The bread smelled heavenly but I'd just purchased two loaves elsewhere to had to pass that up but I'll be back to get some next time I'm... More

When my husband and I were dating he was shocked that I had never tried the Lithuanian Torte from this little establishment. It has layers of light, crispiness and custard with a bit of apricot mixed in. When we are back in Omaha for a visit this place is always on our list to get a little torte. They also... More

I am in the bank travel industry. I take senior citizens on bus tours. I took a group to Omaha the week of July 20th. On Friday, July 24th our first stop was at the Lithuanian Bakery and Kafe. Lauri and Mark did an outstanding job in hosting my group. Mark did a power point presentation on Lithuania and their... More

This is one of the few lunch "tea room" like restaurants anywhere. The sandwiches are fantastic. The grilled cheese is exceptional (great bread, several cheeses with a sprinkling of a third on top). The egg and tuna salad sandwiches are very tasty. Bu,t we'd recomend them all. The soups are homeade with 3-4 options each time we go. The bakery... More

I really wanted to like this place because I want to encourage more ethnic food choices. However, I was disappointed with both the apple strudel and the slice of apricot torte. My Mother was Hungarian and she made awesome strudel the traditional way, stretching the pastry by hand on the kitchen table. The strudel pastry here was very thick. I'm... More

In July, we were sent a torte via FedEx for my birthday. It arrived within 2 days but was warm with NO remaining dry ice. The website states up to "4 days". On calling the business, we were told to discard the torte as it "would not be safe" and that they would "talk to my uncle" and would be... More
