We travel in Iceland 3 months a year with our tour company - we visit many Bakari's whilst there. This is an excellent bakari whether you use the cafe or take away. Toilets available - recommended

The view can't be beat here while you sip your tea and enjoy their famous snúðar! The staff is welcoming and there's free wifi! It's a great stop as you head to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

The places to go for breakfast are somehow limited, so Geirabakari seemed to be the logical choice. Nice view onto the bridge, but do not expect a cosy experience, it is a bakery after all. Sandwiches and pastries were really good. For film enthusiast, this was Walter Mitty Papa John...

Getting good coffee in Borgarnes has not been an easy feat. My cafe latte was worth the extra brisk walk in the wind, rain & hail before catching the bus. I got a delicious looking donut I've saved for later. Baked good all looked amazing.

After watching the Secret Life of Walter Mitty and finding out that the Papa John's was actually this bakery, we knew we had to visit. Seeing that view from the window, relaxing with a coffee and dessert, was on our to do list. Everyone was very friendly and there were a lot of choices. We each had a sandwich to... More

Like everywhere in Iceland, it was clean and welcoming. We had coffee, hot chocolate and light snacks, and beautifully prepared. We also bought bread, of which there is a huge variety and a lovely baked rhubarb tart and some locally made jam to 'export'. Interesting because the pompous French think they do everything better than anyone else, but the quality... More

Always fresh bread and pastries, nice place to sit down and relax after the drive. Quiet place, not as busy as the petrol station

We happened across this cafe by chance but were really pleased we had. Fabulous location and view (though it was raining too heavily to make the most of it), friendly staff and lots of choice. The food was freshly made and very tasty. Would definitely recommended!
