A delightful local place in the downtown area that is close enough to the Capitol to meet politicians for an inexpensive and quick meal. Simple, well-prepared menu.

The food is good, the staff is friendly and the chicken pot pie is to die for -- even in the middle of summer!

Went for lunch with my colleagues. Everyone had something different and no one was disappointed. I had the Pot Pie. TOO GOOD! My co-worker across the table from me had the soup and Chicken Salad & Raved about it the rest of the afternoon. I went a couple of weeks before for breakfast & it was really tasty. Their prices... Read the reviews and stopped for lunch, busy but plenty of tables. Chicken pot pie hot and yummy, just right for a cold day in December. Cookies are great! Next time I think I'll try the soup.

I arrived just before the lunch rush on a weeday. They were highly recommending The pot pie. After several patrons ahead of me chose it.I caved in and gave the pot pie a shot. It comes with a cookie and drink. They gave me a sample of the soup since I couldn't decide. The pot pie was fresh and clearly made there.It... More

Had the "no meat treat"sandwich which was very good however it's really a wrap and not necessarily a sandwich but is very good filled with freshman mozzarella, spinach, tomato, red peppers, and Portabella. Service is always very good and the staff are very attentive and pleasant. This continues to be a favorite place in Springfield Illinois for breakfast and lunch.

We were lucky to find this place since it was one of the very few places open on the Thanksgiving Day. The line for lunch was short but deciding what to order at the counter is cofusing and takes time. We had soup with half a sandwich and salad. They were all good. Prices were in the middle range.

Cafe Moxo is in a great location near the Wyndam, Lincoln Hotel, the Old State Capital and the current Capital Building. My wife and I went there at noon during a lunch break from a conference at the Wyndam that I was attending. Cafe Moxo offers sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, pot pies, breakfast and baked goods. All of the food... More

Had lunch here today. Staff at counter very friendly and welcoming. Think it's slightly overpriced. Wasn't impressed with bread, very much on the dry end and nothing special. Place could be cleaner, lots of food on the floor and no regular cleaning going on as far as I could tellin our 40 min there. It's almost like a fast food... More

The sandwiches are good but the lines and hype around them might be a little inflated. It's a very nice place with good staff but parking nearby is tough.Worth stopping in but the wait times are high so be prepared.

We are glad you tried us and yes, we sometimes can be a longer wait for fresh made quality food. Yes, we can be tough on parking sometimes while being downtown. Yes, we have created a way to avoid any wait - order online and choose delivery, pickup or dine-in. We certainly appreciate the fact that you may have waited... More
