We have spent the weekend in Springfield, Illinois. Two nights - two dinners at Augies: NICE staff, GREAT food and a LOT of ambience. We tried the meat, the hamburger and the pasta (remember, two dinners) and everything was excellent in it's own genre.

Open for lunch and dinner, except Sundays. Food is creative and consistently good. I have gone there for years, and have never had a mediocre meal.

A group of friends and I ate here last Thursday night. On Thursday nights they do a 3 course meal for $14.99. You get a salad, a choice of four or five different main dishes, and a desert. I had the chicken and waffles which...More

Love Augies daily Quesadilla which changes daily and is unique. Great food overall and fresh. I have always been pleased with the service.

I've only been to Augie's on Thrifty Thursdays where you get a 3 course meal for $15. There are limited choices that night, but the food is great!

Augie's never disappoints. This time it started with having Kim, bartender and hostess extraordinare, choose the drink (rum with a homemade fruit mash). Next up, a scallop ceviche and black beans served in a hollowed grapefruit with salty hot tortillas. Then warm goat cheese salad...More

Augie's has always been reliable upscale dining in Downtown Springfield just across the street from the Old Capital Building. Crfe is taken in food preparation and our server was friendly and knowledgable.

Because of Springfield's one-way street obsession (why? there is no heavy traffic), combined with very poor signage and the fact that TripAdvisor's address is debatable (the formal entrance is on 5th, but the waiter who, over the phone, gave us complicated directions to the back...More

Augie's has an excellent Crusted Grouper. The menu is varied and during the summer service is available on the sidewalk area. The restaurant is small but has excellent service and drinks. It is above average in pricing.
