If you're spending any time in Springfield you should make a point to visit this local landmark. I've never had anything on the menu that wasn't very good.

I was looking for a different/recommended spot to take my grandsons to breakfast. This restaurant showed up so we gave it a try. There was a 40 minute wait and no room to wait inside, so we waited in our car (the restaurant texts you when your table is ready). A quick note. This place doesn't look appealing from outside.... One of the best breakfasts in Springfield. The atmosphere is classic diner in a Quonset hut loaded with memorabilia. The pancakes are light and fluffy and the coffee is plentiful. The staff will take good care of you. Can't wait to try lunch here.

My partner came over from Scotland, I wanted to take her to the ultimate American breakfast experience, Charlie's didn't let me down. A Nissan hut in the backwoods with the ultimate American diner experience. The decor is late 50's early 60's the food is definitely modern huge portions so go hungry.

Okay food. Okay servers. I ordered onions in my hashbrowns so they sprinkled them on top instead of cooking them in the hash browns believe it or not that ruined my whole meal.

We'd enjoyed breakfast at Charlie Parker's in Springfield about six years ago - it rated a return visit. If we'd been doing reviews then, we'd have still rated this place pretty high. This is a vintage WWII Quonset hut, kind of off the beaten path but worth looking for. It's classic diner fare with the local favorite The Shoe. Breakfast... More

Charlie Parkers is a Springfield institution that's been featured in network food channels for many years. It's a typical diner that serves excellent breakfast and lunch. It is inexpensive and the plates are served quickly to keep the constant line of people waiting to get a table. It is one of the most inexpensive places to have breakfast in Springfield.... More

This is located in a Quasi Hut off Route 66 but Hoped it dated back to Route 66's hey day. But it only dates back into the 90's per the waitress. It has a lot of memorabilia and the service was courteous. The burgers and pork cutlet were just average....not anything you couldn't get in many local burger joints.

I've been here for breakfast a few times and love the breakfast horseshoe. You get to choose a cheese sauce/gravy or both to go over your shoe. Both is my choice. Friends have had the pancakes and they are huge and delicious. Great little diner/dive restaurant.
