We had the dinner buffet Sunday evening. The food was delicious! Everything was freshly prepared and had so much flavour. Well worth the price.

We ate at Max's two nights while staying at the Northern Light Inn. Everything we ate was delicious, including fish and lamb, as well as a vegetarian eggplant dinner. We found it very relaxing to enjoy our meal while gazing out the large windows to the lava fields.

Not as good as Lava restaurant but pretty good, not as expensive, but in Iceland food is expensive in smallest town

(Note this is the same review I shared on Google to be consistent.) My wife and I stayed at the Northern Light Inn so this is where we ended up eating several times as we didn't bother to rent a car. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here at least once over the course of our stay. My review is... More

Thank you for your review and noting that the "lamb was cooked perfectly" .... "great Food". Thanks! The "beauty" of our views are in the eye of the beholder: some hate it, and many others love it, as you can read in many, many review. We think geothermal energy is fantastic, and are glad to see the steam, warmth and... More

Really yummy food! The best smoked salmon! Breakfast is a must!! Make reservations. It feels like Iceland, when you are sitting in the restaurant you know you have arrived!

My husband and I wanted to end our trip to Iceland with a nice dinner. Unfortunately that didn't happen tonight. The restaurant was nice, but he view of the power plant made it less appealing. My husband had the Fish soup and tge lamb chops which he said were good. I had the fried cauliflower which was tasty and tge... More

Had a great meal here one weekday night while staying at the hotel. To start we shared homemade bread with pesto, which was surprisingly great – the pesto tasted really fresh and with a Nordic twist, plus they filled the bread basket up when we were towards finishing it. For mains, I had cod in butter sauce, which was cooked... More

This restaurant is part of the Northern Light Inn, near the Blue Lagoon, and we went whilst staying there (although there are a couple of other options, as we found out – another hotel and a restaurant at the Blue Lagoon, both in easy walking distance). We had a (quite large) basket of bread to share, which came with a... More

Ate here after our visit to the blue lagoon, which can be no more than a minutes drive. We were asked which table we'd prefer and were seated. The food arrived promptly and was good and very tasty. Not the most extensive menu but we liked everything on it nonetheless. Like absolutely everywhere in Iceland it's not cheap! But if... More

Nice meal, good service but Iceland is ridicously expensive, please bare this in mind, for example our meal which was 2 x starters and 2 x mains came to roughly £130.

Hi Carl, Thank you for your 4 star rating! We would love to reduce the costs of everything that has to be imported to Iceland, which is everything except the weather, but unfortunately we have no influence on the base prices of arctic trade and commerce. We hope global economics will leve things out in the future! More
