After a particularly long day, my family and I were desperate for somewhere to eat. We called country hotel Anna who were due to close at 20:30 but were more than willing to accommodate the 6 of us arriving at 20:15. We had a very warm welcome to a homely looking dining room, given water and some amazing tasting bread.... More

The dining room is very comfortable and stylish, it remind an old farm, the waitress gave us some home made bread with icelandic butter just after the order, it was good and it calmed our hunger. We took a main course plate, but every single plate costed a lot for us, around 45€ and the portions were too small. Anyway... More

We were welcomed at short notice (thank goodness) and well looked after our road trip around souther iceland. T-bone steak, lamb, and cod dish all beautiful. Friendly staff, efficient service. Was a touch pricey! But quality of food was really good. Nice little atmosphere. Great travel stop.

I stayed at the Hotel and ate at the restaurant, what an amazing treat. Great local food, cooked to perfection! My best meal during my trip, by far!

We stopped into Anna's for dinner this past Saturday night (March 4, 2017). Came in right at opening time and they were able to accommodate us quickly. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. They started us off with an amuse-bouhce of roe and blue cheese which was fantastic. We split the tomato soup, I got the Arctic... More

The meal I had here was included with a tour I had booked. It is somewhere between Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Our meal included a soup, either lamb or vegetarian, tea, coffee, or water, and bread and butter. The meal was delicious, and there were other beverages that you could buy. Dessert was Skyr. Service was also good. Ambiance was lacking,... More

Not many restaurants around this area so it was great that they dont close early like most places. food was delicious and price was reasonable for Iceland "food is expensive there" we ordered: arctic char with a risotoo style buckwheat "light and yummy" and the steak "a bit heavy on the fat and grease" both were delicious and perfect. the... We were promised a simple meal of bread, soup and Skyr yoghurt, however it was delicious. The bread and soup were limitless and both the vegetarian and meat soup were hot and delicious. The skyr was served with fruit and was lovely. Staff were friendly and there was a good choice of drinks

We stopped at an AirBnB near Hvolsvöllur and TripAdvisor showed very few restaurants around. This one was at 32km...Who cares? One is enough, if of this sort. Cuisine was top notch. Menu was limited but that means everything is fresh and I prefer it this way, less to think about. We had the char, the fish soup, the cod, the... More
