Ate at Alden & Harlow late on a Tuesday evening and the restuarant was still fairly busy. We took a seat at a table overlooking the kitchen and next to a book shelf full of recipe books - nice touch. Had eaten quite of canapes...More

It is all very nice to be "in and trendy" and have mastered the "small plate "thing. However, last night 6 of us were seated in the middle of the main room near the waiters' station by the door to the "wine cellar", and we...More

This is an IT restaurant in Harvard Square. Past winner of accolades. It has some issues in my opinion. It is loud. My drink special, a rhubarb Ruby Slipper was the sweetest drink I have ever had. It should have been tart. The food was...More

Overall experience was great. Huge wrap around bar is open seating. Drink menu was comprehensive and offered a variety. Bartenders knew how to make a delicious rhuby slipper. Enjoyed the chips with onion dip and sourdough bread starters. Chips were crunchy and onion dip was...More

I have been to Alden and Harlow half a dozen times over the last year. It's in the space in Harvard Square where Casablanca used to be, for decades. Alden and Harlow follows the nouveau trend of small plates and sharing. Good concept for dates,...More

We went here for a birthday dinner and it was absolutely fantastic! From the atmosphere to the service and the food, everything was outstanding. You must get the burger, so make sure you get there early as they have limited availability each day. Special thanks...More

Even though we made a reservation two weeks in advance, we could not get our exact time and had to adjust our schedule. The place is busy, so make a reservation. The menu is quite unique and it was the first time that I saw...More

We came here for a bachelor party brunch and it was pretty decent overall. The food choices were tasty and lots of variety - many dishes were extremely rich. The service was just ok - larger group however it took a while for the order...More

We are at Alden and Harlow last night, and thought the culinary artistry going on is very provocative and worth the trip there; but we thought more finesse and executional flair was required to be a 5. It’s great on paper but in some cases...More

We had a tasty and fun brunch and can see why it is so popular. It has a fairly large basement and patio dinning area and is probably somewhat noisy and packed on the weekends. Our sunday brunch was comfortable but still buzzing. The items...More

I agree with the earlier answers. Nice place, good food, but certainly not suitable for children in need of a high chair. get yourself a babysitter and visit just with the two of you!
