Coffee shop in an old automobile service station. Coffee is exellent. Eclectic setting with a lot of local patrons. Kind of a hangout.

All weekend long, my wife just wanted some good coffee from a local coffeehouse. Sunday night as we are heading for our 8 hr rife home, we finally find it at The Lamplighter. She surprised me with their house specialty, the Brown Sugar Latte and she treated herself to a Vanilla Honey Latte. Both were great and it was a... More

Wow, if only I had taken a sip of my honey vanilla latte before I got in the car to drive 8 hours home, I would have left with bags of that amazing espresso! Tasted just like a bit o honey candy, yum! Thankfully I can grab the espresso online since I'm not local. Also tried the brown sugar latte... More

The coffee was much better than most places, just full of body and flavor. I also tried an old fashioned glazed donut and it was a good complement to the coffee. But as for the atmosphere, it was not my kind of place, even though I have a very eclectic taste and try to enjoy different cultures and surroundings. This... More

I had cappuccino & croissant. The croissant was to die for and the coffee was decent. Unless you're on the cushy leather couch, I didn't find the other seats too comfy. Good natural light and small selection of pastries. Worth a visit!

I don't live in Richmond, but when in town, a stop here for their excellent cappuccino or macchiato is a must. Occasionally, we have also grabbed a doughnut or a bagel with lox and cream cheese. All good.

This is a charming spot and it's great that it's located in the neighborhood so folks have somewhere to go for coffee and such. But even though it's off the beaten path it tends to get so busy that there have been times when there were no tables to sit at. My daughter raves about the breakfast sandwiches so I... More

Ate lunch at this little place yesterday and while the food was out of this world, the outside atmosphere was ruined by so many flies we had to pack the remainder of our lunch and take it home to enjoy. Not the restaurant's fault -- time of the year, probably -- but be aware. I had the best chicken salad... More

We were in the area and disparate for a great cuppa Joe. Drawn to Lamplighter by reviews that they roasted their own. The espresso roast in my latte was chocolately and delicious. The regular coffee my husband enjoyed was bold but slightly acidic. Great place to sip a cuppa Joe and use the wi Fi.

Stopped in for breakfast and coffee at a friend's recommendation. Had one of their daily special sandwiches. SO DELICIOUS! They have indoor and outdoor seating, and they bring your food out to you. Also had just a plain cold brew coffee and found it to be really good!
