The food was good. You could clearly make out the fresh ingredients. Service was friendly. Portions were generous. Few customers during our late lunch but our group all enjoyed a Mexican meal that did nothing to suffer from being like the other restaurants. Construction going on just outside their door so they were happy to see us. It has s... More

We were visiting relatives in Richmond and ate lunch at the Tio Pablo. What a great restaurant. We are used to eating in not so good Mexican restaurants in upstate New York and were flabbergasted. The meals were all terrific, nothing we are used to (only burritos, etc. offered at home). Menu was extensive and had difficulty choosing. Will definitely... More

I have seen this restaurant many times but did not have time to stop. Family visited the place and really enjoyed it. It is very small but located near Richmond's old market. It has a pleasant cozy feel and the wait staff and presumed manager were very accommodating. I had less than half an hour to grab and go but... More

Amazing! Food was PERFECT! Hashtag when you order your carne asada tostada plate and forget to say hold the sour cream but your eat your entire meal without pause! I had pinto beans and rice as my sides and guess what?! My beans were hot! And they stayed hot long enough to enjoy. The drinks??? Ohhhh! The house margarita, then... More

Really enjoyed lunch at Tio Pablo! Everything here is gluten-free, which was fantastic to have the option of selecting anything & everything on the menu!! I had the taco plate. Didn't care for the Al Pastor taco (most of the meat in this taco was globs of fat...not a pleasant eating experience). Completely on the other end of the spectrum... More

Have been more than once and it seems to get better every time. Had a Cuban pork taco, shrimp taco, and Chiles Rellanos this time. All excellent. Attentive, friendly service and an enjoyable atmosphere. Will continue to be a regular!

Looks like a great place to meet friends or a date for a drink. We went with whole family for my second time. Drinks are great and pupusas are heavenly. The decor is awesome. Also if you require or are into it, everything including drinks is gluten free.

Small restaurant with lots of character. Food always good and original. Not the usual Mexican type food - but not fancy either.

The food is pretty good but what takes Tío Pablo to the next level is their variety of tequila. The owner of this establishment is very excited for patrons to try different tequila and their different flavours. Go in to this small bar and talk to the older gentleman that walks around like he owns the place. Ask him about... More
