We love the food here and the service is great. We usually go on Wednesdays for dollar taco day but always order more, particularly the guacamole. Wednesday's are busy so be prepared to wait a bit, but it's worth it.

Tried out the dollar tacos on Wednesday and couldn't be happier. The barbacoa was rich and moist, done as well as anywhere at any price. The al pastor was the best I have had around Richmond. The tortillas were als as good as any in the area. Rightfully the place was packed around 6 pm for the taco special night,... More

Ordered menudo and it wasn't good, I asked for something else but they still charged for the menudo. The waitress was very nice but this is not a place to try anything new since they will not take it back if it's no good.

This is a converted fast food joint that serves as a home base for a fleet of taco trucks, while also serving sit down lunch and dinner. In addition to tacos they offer burritos, roasted chicken, and various desserts. I've only tried the tacos. They're served open face, double tortilla, and are really good. Horchata's good, too. This place could... More

Taqueria Panchitos is located on the corner of Midlothian and Carnation. Easy access in and out of the parking lot. This is not a fancy restaurant. This was originally a fast food place that is now this small eatery. Thank goodness! I love these tacos. On Wednesdays, there are 7 different meat tacos to choose from. Don't expect lettuce, tomato,... More

From the outside, this "hole in the wall" looks a little sketchy. However, once you taste the tacos, you will be happy you ventured inside. This is a no-frills restaurant serving authentic food. We had tacos al pastor and barbacoa tacos topped with onions and cilantro. The double corn tortillas hold everything together once you put on the salsa and... More

OK - there are other Mexican places. Chains that offer Ameri-Tex-Mex, Mexican places owned by Peruvians, Mexican places that must have 55 gallon drums of generic mashed beans (that are only dimly "refritos") and slather cheddar cheese over everything.... and then there is an authentic taqueria like Panchitos. It is awesome The tacos are like those you would get in... More

I went to Taqueria Panchito on Wednesday for $1 taco day. I ordered the carne asada and the chorizo tacos and a mango Jarritos all for $3.99! The two tacos were of decent size, but I probably will order a third taco in the future. Since it was $1 taco day, parking was a bit sparse and the place was... More

The inside looks like an old Taco Bell, but the this small table service taqueria offers very tasty and authentic tasting tacos and other fresh Mexican fare. The tacos al pastor were as good as we had in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Go for the food, and you may find the simple/plain ambiance quite interesting.

I've been to Cancun a few times and this place's food reminds me of Mexico. Very good tacos ($1 on Wednesdays) and great sauces. They should advertise.....small little gem in RVA.
