We had dinner at Chez Foushee while staying at the nearby Hotel Jefferson. The restaurant is a delightful place in a row house a short walk from the hotel. The menu was varied and interesting; the staff couldn't have been more accommodating; and the ambiance was perfect for a couple's night out. Go there.

Friends in Richmond suggested we meet at Chez Foushee. My wife and I, who live in the DC area and are foodies, absolutely loved the restaurant. The ambience is lovely - an historic building with period decor, lots of windows, separate seating areas. Lively without being noisy. Service was good, with the waiter being a bit over-eager but knowledgeable about... More

Really really good food. Soup (Oyster Bisque), Salmon with Rice Pilaf, and a wonderful pork entree. We shared the warm carmel pudding for dessert, incredible.

Pre-concert dinner here. Tasty house dinner salad. So big it was falling off of the plate. Need bigger plate or smaller portion - this was messy. Roast chicken was very good but swimming in too much liquid/sauce. Good food but it could be better presented. High quality eats but plating could use some work.

Very interesting menu. Not extensive menu but items are excellent. Setting is cozy. Each week there are specials that are enticing.

We had brunch. Wife's seafood cakes were really good - better than most crab cakes we've had. My Chez Benedict was REALLY good - eggs done perfectly and the potatoes had a great flavor. Service was very good. This was our first time here, and we plan to return. The only negative was $9.50 for about 1 ½ ounces of... More

Yes we ordered the frites to start. They were great and the shrimp and grits was Cajun magic. The place washroom was tiny and service fast. The lunch was memorable.

Loved this place. It's quaint and comfortable atmosphere, the wonderful service, nice menu. We opted for the prix fixe menu and were very pleased. Very close to the November theater, where we were attending a play - and directly across the street from one of the theater's parking lots. Smallest rest room anywhere - would not work for anyone who... More

We had an enjoyable dinner here. Plenty of parking lots nearby. Nice ambiance. The food and service were good. Atmosphere elegant, yet trendy and bustling. The thing is that while all the food was good, nothing was so outstanding that we would want to go back. The desserts were sort of disappointing, the risotto side was just okay, and nothing... More

We came here for lunch. I had the french classic croque madame with country ham on white french toast. It was amazing!! Yes, it is a little pricey but well worth it. I think they have their own parking lot but not sure.
