This little restaurant is a family business with good, fresh food. I suggest taking the restaurants suggestion. Had a very good meal here. The place is just below the main old city, but this is a very small hill town.

We ate twice in this excellent restaurant with wonderful food, excellent service and a great view. I had a beef dish, my husband a delicious salmon.

Four of us had dinner at this quaint restaurant. He atmosphere, service, and food were very nice! Our host & server was extremely polite and attentive and quite helpful with choosing our food. The asparagus/truffle sauce entree was wonderful. Would definitely recommend his restaurant.

We visited Montaione for dinners and food shopping, and Carpe Diem was the best of some really great places in town. We were seated at a lovely corner table, and the service and food was the best. From the wine to the pasta first course, to perfectly cooked twin tournedos I enjoyed or the perfect tuna for my wife, and... More

We were nearly put off by some of the negative comments on here regarding this place which we have been visiting for years. Decided to go again and wasn't disappointed, people have complained about slow service (this is the Italian way). give it a try you wont be disappointed.

The service was slow but friendly. The food was excellent and the Tournedos tender and tasteful. The whole family was very happy, except mr T who was forgotten with his salad.

We visited in mid September and it was very quiet. The food was excellent. The service a little stand-of fish but still good. It was nice to be greeted by the complimentary prosecco and crisps in English. Our son had the pizza, which was excellent. Hubby and I had the crepes and pasta with cream sauce to start and both... Great view of the valley in Montaione. Friendly staff. Wonderful food and great hospitality. We stopped in the afternoon and the restaurant was not yet open for dinner, but the staff took great care of us! Wonderful stop. Parking lot adjacent to the restaurant which was so convenient!

We ate in this restaurant twice during our stay in Tuscany. Beautifully & tastefully decorated with great table settings and good views. Not a huge menu but enough to offer a choice of beautiful meals - the steak with porcini mushrooms, the orata fillet & beef with balsamic vinegar are amazing. Attentive service & great food well worth the price... More
