I recently had a weekend business conference with thirty colleagues at the Woodstock Inn. We ate most of our meals in the Red Rooster Restaurant, followed by après-dinner socializing at Richardson's Tavern. The food was excellent, but the service was superb. The staff at the inn are truly friendly and helpful.

Thank you for sharing your impressions of The Red Rooster as well as Richardson’s tavern, our more casual evening venue. We’re proud of our farmland-inspired menus as well as the organic produce we grow right here in our own Kelly Way Gardens (mostly dormant for the winter now, but still providing us with some mushrooms, root vegetables, and a few... Stopped in for a beer and a shot, the local micro brew at $7.95 was high but a shot of Whistle Pig whiskey @ $20.00 come on, this is not Manhattan !

Thank you for stopping in to enjoy a locally crafted draught beer and a glass of Vermont’s own Whistle Pig rye whiskey, the highest rated rye according to Wine Enthusiast and “the essence of rye” according to The Wall Street Journal! Our menu of local craft beers is always changing and I can’t be sure which you sampled, but I... More

Thank you for dining with us and sharing your impressions. I am very disappointed to learn that the experience did not live up to your expectations, and have shared your comments with our culinary team. Perhaps our local grass-fed, dry-aged beef is different than you are accustomed to and I apologize that we neither made that clear nor noticed your... More

We stayed at the Inn for three nights and had breakfast at the Red Rooster each morning. The freshly made omelets were delicious and we enjoyed the extensive offerings of the buffet. The one night we had dinner, we both enjoyed it very much. I had the Tenderloin and my wife had the NY strip and they were both prepared... More

We have dined at the Red Rooster a couple of times and will definitely return. We really enjoy their Sunday Brunch. The food is really good, and there are numerous options. You might have to wait for a table as they don't take reservations. We also dined there for lunch. It was really good, and the portions were large. We... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food. Portions were small for the price. A $15 beet salad had two beets, two small pieces of cheese, with here tiny croutons, an a fe drops of dressing. It was delicious, BUT, way too expensive.

Thank you for visiting us for dinner and sharing your review! In addition to having our own certified-organic gardens, we are fortunate to enjoy relationships with a variety of outstanding local producers and purveyors, and we greatly enjoy sharing our regionally inspired menu. In the autumn, for example, root vegetables are fresh from the ground, and Vermont’s artisanal cheeses are... More

We went for dinner our first night there on Saturday, and the wait staff was overwhelmed, and the service was off. However, when we politely expressed our dissatisfaction, they pulled out all the stops to make it right. We ended up with a very positive impression of the hotel staff and the restaurant as a result. The brunch is awesome!... More

On a recent girls trip to Woodstock Vermont I made a reservation at the Red Rooster at the Woodstock Inn in Vermont based on a recommendation from an individual. Now, had I read the reviews on Yelp, sadly I must say I would have passed it over and that would have been the right decision. The Woodstock Inn itself for... More
