We checked in with the hostess and were told about :30 minutes. Headed upstairs for a few beers to pass the time. After an hour one of us went downstairs to check and at that point we were number 3. Anytime now. Hungry as we were we ordered from the limited menu from upstairs and drank more beer. No word... More

Historic looking brew house. Seats fair amount. Recommend upstairs if possible (and contains a small balcony which is nice). As many taps as people, choose your variety. Nice place to stop in with colleagues and have a few brew's. The food, typical microbrew with an Atlanta flare. Had a BBQ sandwich. Was very good, but over priced for the value.... More

Waiter was very polite and attentive. The food took about 40 minutes on a Sunday evening. It was about an average size crowd so I'm not sure what took so long. The atmosphere was pretty nice. A little loud but tolerable and semi private with the setup of the tall booths. My whole group had ribs. Very good. Fall off... More

Cold beer, good burgers and sliders. Did offer good choice for steak if wanted. Good beer choices. Everything you would expect for a local tavern.

Food was okay - ribs, pizza, and San Fran salad were all just fine, tho not amazing. Husband enjoyed the beer. The real winner was the fried cheesecake, which was out of this world good and big enough for three to share. Service was good, pleasant atmosphere.

This place is within walking distance of the Georgia Aquarium. Normally, you go to a brew pub and they are all about the beer with food being an after-thought. The beer is decent with really good food.

Great atmosphere and decor. Outstanding service from Novak, the bartender. Close to many hotels and sights. Extensive list of bier, lager, and ciders. Also have a full bar if you choose that. Great aroma throughout the property.

I had the best steak ever and our server, Delmonte, was nothing short of perfect. Every time I find myself in Atlanta I will be coming back to this place!

Description
Max Lager's was one of the first restaurants to bring the fresh and natural wood-fired menu concept to Atlanta. The art of cooking with wood enhances the Max Lager's experience with bold flavors simply not found with alternative cooking methods. We feel that the investment made in the wood-fired grill pays great dividends to our guests. All Max Lager's menu items are prepared daily from scratch. Wood-fired steaks, burgers, seafood, ribs, and pizza are Max Lager's signature items. An inspired selection of entree salads and pastas add variety to the American menu. Max Lager's is the oldest brewpub in Georgia, opening in March 1998. Many of Max Lager's house brewed beers have won major awards including two awards at the Great American Beer Festival in Colorado. Max Lager's offers a full bar, wines, local and national craft beers, with a 32 tap draft system in our upstairs bar highlighting a selection of the best craft beers. If you are looking flavorful food and drinks in a warm and inviting atmosphere - Max Lager's is the place to be! Cheers.
