We were looking for a great hometown breakfast place and the Silver Skillet did not disappoint! The staff is very friendly and the food is fantastic. We also really enjoyed seeing all of the celebrity photos from visits and movie shootings there.

We ate here on Saturday. We were there at 7:50 am. They do not open til 8am. But there was a line. Let's just say upon opening there were only three tables available after we got seated. Waitress was amazing, food was delicious and satisfying....More

Our group of 6 decided to try the Silver Skillet since it had been featured on Diners Drive In and Dives. It is truly an old style diner that serves southern comfort food. The food was excellent as well as the service. It was the...More

Welcome to Atlanta-or as we say in the summer-HOTlanta! Thanks for stopping in to give the Skillet a try. Glad your Skillet experience was good. After 61+ years serving our great customers, it's ALWAYS good to hear comments like yours. Hope to see you back...More

If you have that greasy spoon diner craving, this is another place in Atlanta you should go to. The food is good (and what you expect form a diner) and service is usually fast (which is good because there's often a crowd there).

The Southern breakfast was outstanding. 2 fried chops, eggs, grits and biscuits. Southern ham was great too but a little salty. Biscuits are the best I've ever had! Must try!!

We were a little skeptical about eating here but I wanted to try it because of the ham steak I saw on travel channel (the last time we went with one of their suggestions we regretted it) We made it around 11am and were lucky...More

Yes-our country ham is salty! But good!! Our 61+ year old diner is just as it was when opened in 1956. Our decision to keep it "as is" brings a true sense of the good ol days. Glad you and your friends enjoyed it! Teresa

We decided to eat here since it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We got there around 10:30 on a Thursday morning. No problem finding a seat. My family opted for French toast, chocolate chip pancakes and bacon while I went for a BLT....More

Just around the corner from where we were staying was this very busy restaurant, caters for breakfast and lunch. Lots of memorabilia around the walls including photo's of famous patrons with the owner. Serves are huge so don't forget your appetite.

In the 80's, I ate here at least once weekly with my colleagues. Then, I changed jobs, and lunch at the Skillet was no longer convenient. Today's lunch was a walk down memory lane. The only change is the prices. If you want the best...More

Curiosity is what brought colleagues here. Lots of mixed reactions to the classic restaurant. However as with many classics they have their days where things are not what is expected! Service had order a little mixed up but food was ok.
