Food is okay. I only went to visit because I lived in Atlanta for years and never been and saw it on the discovery channel. The hot dogs wee food but the onion rings were super greasy. Went straight to he bathroom after eating it.

We didn't eat lunch here because of the time we visited (before 11a), but did get ice cream cones and an orange drink (supposedly their own recipe). It tasted like watery orange tang. I wasn't that impressed by the place that everyone "raves" about downtown. When we left it was starting to get busy on the lines. The prices on... More

Some friends took us here because they say it's thee burger place to eat in Atlanta. Apparently everyone else in town thought the same thing because it was absolutely packed with huge lines. I will say that the onion rings were the best I have ever had. Aside from that the fries were OK the burgers were OK and the... More

Great fast food - naked dogs, slaw dogs, chili cheese dogs, burgers, chili burgers, fries, onion rings, and chicken sandwiches. A great place to extinguish your grease "low level light".

We decided to eat here because it was rated high and it was the closest to us. It was okay. The onion rings were tasty but greasy. The cheeseburger was Burger King size, just more expensive. The shakes were good old milk shakes. I liked ordering from our car and having them bring it to the window. The nostalgia was... More

My wife and I had driven past The Varsity on Route 85 dozens of time and we finally stopped in. It is a hoot, a landmark of Americana past that should never be forgotten. The food is everything your doctor tells you not to eat, but wow was it great. We shared the Chilli Dogs with cheese, the Onion Rings,... More

I had eaten before at the Varsity but it has been quite a while. After seeing the Travel Channel shows on it being a top hot dog spot I decided I'd give it another try. No line at the counter and I ordered the chili cheese dog. It was prepared right away and served up in less than a minute.... More

The Varsity is a old time drive-in restaurant near Georgia Tech, but now more common Inside service. you step up to a counter and respond to"whatyahave". Chili dogs, onion rings, orange frosty, and heartburn are served up to many generations of Atlantans and visitors. Go!

My kids simply refused to eat. We could have gotten better hot dogs at a gas station. I really don't get why people come here. The onion rings were great, but that was IT.
