I can say that it was worth the long drive up the mountain. The food was amazing, both for meat and game lovers and also for vegetarian people. The place is hidden but has a really cozy ambience and personalized service with a few tables....If I come back I will be back at La Tapa.More

We went here for our second night in the village. It is at the far end. It is also very small and is a bit like eating in a cave. However, that adds to the atmosphere. We were asked how spicy we wanted our good...to be. The meal was excellent and very reasonably priced. At the end we were given a local liqueur as a freebie. I explained in my inadequate Spanish that I could not drink alcohol because of a medical condition. The host took the drink away and replaced it with a very pleasant non-alcoholic alternative. All in all it was a very pleasing experience.More

Only opened in the evening during our stay in October, we called ahead to make a reservation in this highly ranked 5-table (+bar) restaurant. It wasn't full during our diner but why take the risk of not calling - you absolutely have to go here...when you stay in Capileira! Extensive menu with lots of local dishes. Huge portions and very good advice. Warm applepie with a glass of local booze from the house made a great dessert. Don't miss La Tapa!More

We spotted this place while walking and decided to try it the same evening. We were a little dubious at first, being so tiny, but it was really cute, and once the food arrived we were more than happy. We went for the pork loin...casserole with potatoes, and it was absolutely delicious. Proper wholesome food full of flavour. We couldn’t work out where the cooking took place but didn’t care, it was phenomenal. We followed up with apple/almond tart which was equally as delicious as the main. Washed down with a nice bottle of white, it was our best meal so far in Capileira and it’ll take some beating. We plan to come here again before the end of our holiday, that says it all!More

We saw this tapas bar during a walk through town during the day, it was closed but we decided to come back for the evening. The bar is quaint, beautiful wooden bar with seating & a small dining room at the rear. We were the...only people in the bar. Everything about this place was gorgeous. The food, fresh ham off the leg - cured for 21months - perfection, goats cheese and tomato salad, pheasant pâté and the delicious red (tinto) wines. The ambience was beautiful, relaxing and such a beautiful end to our stay in the gorgeous hillside town of Capileria. We would definitely recommend visiting this bar. It can be somewhat ‘tricky’ to find as you have to walk past all the other restaurants with chairs outside, but seek this place out, you will not be disappointed. (They also offer larger meals than tapas).More

Hidden away, this little gem has only 5 tables and a small bar area so is perfect for a quiet relaxing meal. The host was very helpful without being intrusive and the menu was multi lingual and catered well for vegetarians and carnivores in equal...measure. We ordered a wild boar dish and a spinach dish with cous cous. We were asked how much spice should go into each main and whilst waiting for the food we were brought delicious tapenade. This was the best Moroccan style food that we have ever tasted and that includes several in Marrakesh. We did not feel rushed and prices were reasonable. We would definitely eat there again and would reserve a table to avoid missing out.More

Small place, but great taste. Casseroles we ate were spicy as we ordered. We were lucky to get the last table without a reservation. Highly recommended!

Best to contact the restaurant directly or check their website - I would think in October there will be plenty of visitors, so should be open. Enjoy your visit it is a lovely place.
