We were looked after so well. A beautiful gin and tonic was made when we arrived for us to enjoy - they know how to make a G and T. We ate from the new tasting menu for 2017. So beautifully presented and an explanation for the meaning of each given. The food was beautiful and the wine pairings spot... More

Nacho Manzano and his team are at the forefront of Asturian cuisine and our family visit to their restaurant only confirmed our expectations. The food was superb (special mention to the Pitu de Caleya) and the sommelier is a true expert in his field (great to see some Jura on the wine pairings). I can't wait to return there!

With a love of fine dining, we availed of a unique opportunity to sample a 2* Michelin restaurant. Nacho Manzano, the culinary alchemist, has acquired quite a reputation for serving fine contemporary cocina asturiana in the village house perched atop a mountain pass in a tiny village near Arriondas where he was born and grew up. We plonked for the... More

We had the taster menu and were disappointed. The plates looked beautiful however the flavours and texture were not there. In fact some dishes we found inedible such as the bone marrow. It was like putting a lumpy of soft fat in your mouth which then stuck to the roof of your mouth. Awful. Most of our table had the... More

It was the best meal I've ever had in a michelin starred restaurant. Well maybe Geranium in Copenhagen was better but it cost three times as much! Wonderful setting, wonderful food (the best hake i've ever tasted), friendly staff. A truly memorable meal - only one course didn't come up to standard which unfortunately I think they think is a... We were recommended this restaurant amongst others in the area and certainly it tops what is a foodie paradise. The drive there and the location is just so special. We chose the full menu with wine parings. This was a memorable journey supported by a professional and friendly floor team. The only disappointment was the maitre¨d/sommelier who was sadly lacking... What a wonderful experience from start to finish! Beautiful setting, simple but lovely decor and food to die for! At the insistence of our 13 year old son, we treated ourselves to the full menu with wine and enjoyed every minute of it! And so did he! Perfectly balanced menu and even our son was impressed that he wasn't 'stuffed'... More

We were very pleased to visit this restaurant. It was nice place, relaxing conditions (we hade 2 years old baby with us), good service, great wine pairing and very good food for reasonable price. Very recommended.

We were enchanted by the surrounding countryside but rather disappointed by the quality of food on offer in their shortest menú. There was usual gimmickiness in much of the presentation one has come to expect from so many of Michelin star restaurants. That in itself is not a problem providing the dishes not only delight the eye but also taste... More

Casa Marcial is a two Michelin star and three Repsol Star Restaurant run by Chefs Nacho and Esther Manzano in the town of Arriondas, Asturias.

Asturias is a region in the North of Spain (The Green Coast), very well known for its spectacular scenery, culture and gastronomy. It is popularly known as “The Natural Paradise of Spain”.

The restaurant is situated in the bucolic hamlet of La Salgar. The guest experience starts before taking the first bite, just driving up to the restaurant along the stunning rural landscapes and passing through “The Fitu” viewpoint, which is considered one of the most spectacular mountain views of Asturias and the North of Spain.

Casa Marcial is a former village inn run by the Manzano Family since 1898 that keeps its rural charm. The country chic decoration of the restaurant creates a minimalist, elegant and relaxed ambience, offering the guest a warm welcome.

The cuisine of Esther and Nacho Manzano and the philosophy of Casa Marcial express their own way to understand life, squeezing the location and tradition as the starting point to create their own culinary language. The surroundings and their personal signature will be reflected in the sensory and gastronomic experience that the client will enjoy during their visit. From the moment they start the journey, they will be hosted by a warm and professional service guiding them through the event, until they leave the restaurant.

Casa Marcial offers two Menus to enjoy in a long and short version. The first one consists of the historic and emblematic dishes of Casa Marcial and the second one is designed specifically for this New Season.

The careful fusion between environment and gastronomy makes the visit to Casa Marcial a unique experience.
