My friends and I were entertaining an out of town guest (from Alabama) and we wanted to take her to a New England style restaurant. Other friends have eaten at the Merchants Row and recommended it to our party. We made reservations a day earlier (highly recommended for a Saturday night) and were happy to be seated promptly. Our party... More

The food was great, the service was warm and inviting. The old Inn have a great deal of charm which I enjoyed. I know we will be back again possibly very soon !

We stayed at the hotel and only ate breakfast here, but enjoyed breakfast immensely. Reasonably priced breakfast for good quality nice portion sizes.

You have not lived until you have had this. Honestly the best pot roast we have ever had! Huge portions, so splitting it between two people will be worth it for the extra $5. The waitress was so kind and the atmosphere was cozy.

Great place for our last dinner on our New England trip. Beautiful and historic place. The food did not disappoint. Delicious food and great service. Recommend the hot apple cider for a beautiful taste of fall with your meal.

The restaurant in this colonial style hotel is very charming. We were sitting at the nice round table in the corner of the indoor restaurant even though the outdoor area also looked good. Many tables but only 20% occupied this hot summer evening. Interesting menu with many choices. We had the lobster roll (good and only 24$ for a big... More

Ate dinner on a Sunday evening with a total of 4 people. Sat outside on the porch. Very nice, but a little buggy. Food was pretty good, but not exceptional. Two of us had the NY strip steak. Steak was OK, but griddled potatoes were very dry. Would recommend giving this restaurant a try. Ambiance is nice.

It has been 7 years since our last visit and I was very afraid I would be disappointed because the pot roast would not be as good as I remembered. But I was wrong-- it was even better! Others had crab cakes, chicken pot pie and the lobster roll. No one was disappointed. Hope we can get back soon!

We arrived at the dining room at 6:30 p.m. and found that there were several large tables occupied by noisy children from a sports team who acted as if they were in a school cafeteria. It took the young and inexperienced wait staff considerable time to provide us with menus and to take our order. We had to ask twice... More
