I had a cream of pea soup and a dish of cod with potatoes. Both were expertly cooked, but the fish and potatoes were not embellished with any onion, garlic, herb or spice--and they needed something. The waitstaff was very attentive. The environment, however, felt like a cafeteria because of the blue-grey colours and fluorescent lighting.

I went last sunday to eat a small lunch and we waited for about 45 minutes to even start to see our food and received the wrong entree. The gaspacho and cod cakes were quite good as was the steak and pork (though I must say we ordered fish and duck!). We were eventually so late we just begged for... More

During our visit to the lovely old town of Besalú, we stopped by this restaurant opposite a church. As it was a nice warm afternoon, we chose a table by the sidewalk. Unfortunately a couple with a huge dog picked a table very close to us so we moved inside the restaurant to one of the dining rooms. I already... More

We wanted to try the local dish fideua (like Paella but made with noodles) and saw that this was on the menu. Dinner service did not start until 8pm so we came back to the restaurant just after 8pm and were the first (and only) guests on a Sunday night. The lights in the restaurant seating area at the back... More

We are a local family who went to Can Quei for a dinner. We did a starter and a main course per person. It's all about traditional and local cuisine, and we found all delicious. The poor thing is that we had to wait a long time to be served before and between the meals. We did not receive any... More

They offer a 3 course lunch menu including water and wine for €25 per person. You can choose from a variety of local dishes, the quality and portion size is very good and the staff is friendly.

Been there with my wife. Nice atmosphere, good cava, lovely anchovies and the most impressive experience with game: wood pigeon with rice, artichokes and mushrooms! Get a trophy out of the main course: bullet :) Fully recommend! Really nice and tasty place!

You can choose between menu or "dishes at your choosen". Amount and quality well-valued. Atmosphere of the restaurant, it depends on your preferences. You can choose a modern dining-room or one of two classical ones.

We found the place by luck while looking for an alternative as the one we were going was totally booked. For my surprise the menu had a quality/price balance quite good. The food was actually really tasty (we had the tuna tartar as a first, it was good but a bit frozen ...). What shocked us a bit was that... More

Perhaps the previous terrible review has had an impact: we were surprised to be able to find a table outside on a sunny August lunchtime. The setting of the outside tables is lovely: quiet and sunny, almost outside the door of the church of San Vicenc, and with a small garden opposite. An Italian family eating there saw us hesitate...
