I first visited La Botelleria solo and the owner Jorge is a super friendly guy. Later, I’ve hung out with friends there. The tapas are fresh and plentiful. Great place to meet up. There’s a restaurant attached also with a menu of the day.

We weren’t starving but wanted to get something to eat. It wasn’t 8pm which is the time that most local restaurants open. We passed by this place, the door was open so we decided to give it a try. We ordered a cáprese salad and fish & chips, and we split them for all 3 of us. My husband ordered a bottle of white wine, which he enjoyed. We then ordered 2 desserts (cheesecake and torrija) which we also split 3 ways. The cheesecake was spectacular. The torrija was. Wet good but not the best we’ve ever eaten! This is a nice restaurant to have a lovely meal or a light snack like we had!

Perfect place for dinner in Ribadeo. The service was personable and warm, every single dish was delicious, I highly recommended this place for dinner!

This restaurant was a short walk from the Parador we were staying in. For the local Spanish we were early at 8pm, in fact we were the only ones in the restaurant...!! We had cheese stuffed peppers and Gorgonzola croquettes for starters, both of which were unbelievably good, the croquettes were the finest that I’ve eaten. We then had the Waygu burger with cheese sauce, on a homemade sourdough bun with salad and fries - all absolutely superb. We were then given a complementary liqueur with our coffee. The service was excellent and friendly. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Looking for lunch in Ribadeo on a Fiesta day without reserving is very difficult. It was nearly 15:00 hrs before we got a table at this place. The menu was imaginative and the food beautifully cooked. The service was friendly and helpful. I had Bacalao (salted cod), which was one of the best I have had. The location is great being in a central pedestrian area.

Centrally located in a walking area with a number of bars, restaurants. Ate it because of the unusual offering. Had tuna/avacado tartare which was good but a little bland plus pesto sauced pasta with chipornes, which was excellent. House wine was 20E which was seemed a little expensive although it was very good. Service was very uneven which distracted from a very nice meal. Had inside plus small outside area, both of which were very nice.

La Botelleria is a hidden pearl in Ribadeo. We were six persons (4 adults and 2 kids) with no table reservation, but the nice waitress arranged for a table on the balcony in the shadow for us. The tapas we ordered all had a special gourmet touch to it, and tasted really great. Me and the kids, still cannot forget the magnificent Zamburiñas we ate, so tasteful. The kids also appreciated the mini burgers.

A friend told me this was a traditional restaurant with a creative flair. Was he ever right! Never thought you could have an amazing traditional Galician style octopus and then a perfectly cooked chicken curry. The owner and executive chef, Jorge, is a gracious and incredible host. Will go back before I leave and try some more dishes. Amazing!

We dined here on two consecutive nights, the first evening's meal being so enjoyable that we resolved to return for a second. On both occasions we dined in the restaurant rather than the bar and were looked after by the brilliant Maria who suggested first and second courses which we could share between the four of us. Her recommendations were excellent and at no point did she try to sell us more than we needed (so we had three dishes for each course when it would have been easy to convince us that four were required). The food was hearty and enjoyable with accompanying wine to match. All in all this was a great find.

We had given up finding a place for an a la carte menu on a Sunday night and this was an excellent find .. Friendly host who spoke Emglish and shared his experiences and expertise, a broad and imaginative menu and great local wine. We recommend it!

Really enjoyed spending time in this tapas bar. They have a restaurant too which I would definitely try next time. Friendly staff who love talking about wine. Tapas was plentiful and good. Owner (I think) was also generous and enjoyed chatting about wines from around the world.
