We have enjoyed visiting Volt a few times for different occasions. Every time we go there the food, service and ambiance is exceptional. This last time we celebrated Father's Day by having brunch at Volt. The choices were amazing and reasonably priced. The six of...More

Without question, VOLT is a high-end upscale restaurant. "Pricy" doesn't begin to describe the menu or dining experience here. (Key example: "French fries / ketchup" which is one of their bar-offered appetizers, alone is fourteen dollars.) Reservations are a must if you want to be...More

2nd trip 2 Volt, 4 yrs after our 1st table 21 xp. Table 21 was the start of my excursion into foodie-ism and ive been chasing that dragon since. After numerous michelin star restaurants and various hyped-up spots around the globe, we returned 2 volt...More

Overall, very pleasant experience but not consistent 'high' we'd anticipated. We ordered 11-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Service began fairly briskly which concerned us. As plates grew in size and depth, pace slowed to comfortable speed. Some lovely highs -- lovely flavors that were...More

I want to start with saying that I really wish TripAdvisor had a 1/2 star option as I could have given Volt a 3.5. We haven't been to Volt in a while and we had 2 other couples coming to Frederick who wanted to try...More

Family treated me to retirement dinner at Volt. Upon entering we knew this would be an experience. Furnishings are graceful and the staff are all exceptionally helpful and personable. We had a private room and had the ten course tasting. From start to finish, the...More

We expected a great meal even if it would be expensive, but the portions were rather meager --but nice. I was naive and trusting when our waiter pointed-out the servings of wine pairings were "complimentay" (which I had him VERIFY) then was shocked by the...More

You can find the menu on the website but I believe they do change from time to time, depending on what is in season or available as fresh. It's worth the visit!

Three of us ate there last month. Had 4 glasses of wine basic menu and tip was $350. The tasting menu is more than that so go in expecting a to pay more than that and factor a bottle of wine or pairing if that interests you.

VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.
