Sorry to be contrary but we had great expectations and we’re greatly disappointed. Three adults and one toddler went for lunch. We asked for some chips/salsa and were told they were a “side”. They arrived quickly and were stale, undercooked/chewy, and too salty. The little...More

By the looks of this place you may not expect the food to be too great. But wow, the tacos are so good here. Very authentic and full of flavor. The staff we interacted with were attentive and kind. You can tell a lot of...More

Best little spot ever. Wonderful service. If my belly could speak it would howl. Aaa yoo. Outstanding. As Arnold would say: “I’ll be back”. Worth every penny. Yum!

This is the “go to” place for informal business lunch meetings for many of us. Superb and friendly service; low noise level; great food with ever changing daily specials. One of my fallbacks for a light lunch is the Sopa Azteca - always tasty and...More

My family and I always come either to dine in or pick up food whenever we don't feel like cooking or whenever we're in a dire need of real Mexican food. My mom grew up in California and she was disappointed about giving up on...More

The food is simple and very tasty. You can dine in or carry out. They offer two sauces at the table so you have the option to spice it up a little or a lot. I stopped by for an early dinner on Wednesday around...More

Small Mexican restaurant with great tasting food at a very good price range. Decor is very basic and space is tight, but food is so worth it. Second visit to this downtown Fredrick restaurant.

The food was very well prepared. Service was fantastic! My wife had the chicken tacos americano style and i had the beef and chorizo Mexican style tacos! So deliciously prepared, the green, red and habanero sauces complemented the meal tremendously.

I have heard from several sources that this was THE place to go to for good Mexican, so I had to try it for myself. We went for a farewell dinner for my daughter since she is going to college. It is among her favorite...More

The food is really good, authentic and very reasonably priced. The service is adequate and friendly. The atmosphere is basic, but clean. Not a "first date" type of place, but definitely a regular "go to" for my partner and I.

Description
Cafe Bueno is located at the intersection of East and 5th Streets. We are located in the same center as 7-11, about 3 blocks north of Shab Row. There is plenty of free parking in our large front lot.Cafe Bueno serves authentic Mexican food, and yes, we are the real deal! We have ten different kinds of tacos! A few highlights are our hand-breaded fish tacos, topped with radishes, cabbage, and served with cilantro salsa on the side, or tacos al pastor, which is a combination of spicy marinated pork and pineapple, served on a soft corn tortilla and topped with onions, cilantro, and fresh lime. Our salsa verde and salsa roja hot sauces are freshly made in-house of genuine Mexican ingredients, including tomatillos, jalapenos, guajillo chiles and chile de arbol. Our meats are all hand-cut, marinaded to perfection, and served on tacos or on a massive torta sandwich. The infamous torta cubana is not to be missed - a combination of steak, spicy pork, ham, hot dog, egg, lettuce, tomato, mayo, onion, jalapeno, and avocado. We serve Mexican breakfasts all day, including huevos rancheros, huevos con chorizo (our chorizo is made fresh in-house, of course!) And we serve all the American classics, like eggs, homefries, pancakes, and french toast, until 11am. We also have daily specials showcasing other authentic Mexican dishes, such as sopes, huaraches, carne asada, chile rellenos, mole enchiladas, carnitas, and much more!
