We have been to this restaurant before, but took a friend for his first visit this time. We went on a Friday evening and you need to queue outside from 8.00pm for the 8.30pm opening. There are only 3 or 4 tables with seating at the bar and by the windows. There is no menu or price list. You order... More

In our third long Winter stay in Denia, managed at last to book ahead 8 days for a Wednesday lunchtime. No menu or prices, just 'del dia', Between two; 10 delicious big red prawns, a plate of tiny clams, ten fat juicy mussels, a big plate of boquerones and fried small bony fish, a plate of fried strips of calamari... Well the seafood is superlative, fresh and can't be beaten. We arrived 40 mins before evening opening on a Saturday night to find 8 people in the queue already. Fine we thought we are 4 that makes us to 12 and we all get a stool. Anyway 3 cheeky locals joined their friends and we ended up with one stool... More

Arriving at the door at 1250, 40 minutes before opening time, to claim our "first through the door" place and a guaranteed seat at the bar, we found a Madrileños family had beaten us to it. They were bringing their 8 month old for his first trip to Chimo's! I've never heard anyone call this fabulous fish restaurant Aitana -... More

We entered the bar to have a drink-and could not resist ordering some of their delicious-looking seafood. It more than lived up to our expectations: the quality was amazing. Well worth the visit. Price suited to its quality.

Peculiar restaurant with 3 tables and 12 stools. The quality of the food is fantastic: shellfish and fish just brought from the market. Disadvantages: There is no menu at all. You eat what has been brought for the day. Prices are not published, but are very reasonable taking into account what you eat. The place is not comfortable and the... More

Good everyday restaurant with a generous menu del dia. Very friendly service and always very busy. Inside is cosy and full of atmosphere and the outside 'tent' means you can sit outside all year round.

We were invited here by friends who raved about the place. We arrived just as the doors opened at 1330 and behind around 15 other people. The seats around the bar were quickly occupied and we were left standing by the window by a small low windowsill. The four small tables all had reserved notices on them so we waited.... More

You cannot beat the flavour of "Chimos" prawns we love this place being English and with limited Spanish it is a wonderful experience, as no one speaks English! The calamari melt in your mouth everything is fresh and you can taste the difference from anywhere else. The only place I know that opens at 8.30 and you need to queue... More
