One of FDU's hospitality alumni manages this place and indeed it was an excellent experience for our lunch meeting. The place is very clean and neat, we were greeted with a smile and very politely, and sat at a really nice table in the main...dining area. Great for a business meeting, good ambiance but not overwhelming. The food was really good. All three of us got salads- 2 cobb with chicken and lobster and one calamari. I Invited my adult daughter to dinner for her final night in NJ. She chose oysters and duck and I had the soup and sea bass- all of the food was delicious. There was simply a big miss front of house. We arrived on a...super cold night bundled in heavy coats, were greeted and escorted to our table. The coat room, offered to guests who arrived after us was apparently not on offer for us. We were seated at a 2-top so I sat on my coat while I dined. When I booked the reservation I was shown 2 special offerings; 50% off select wines and a 4 course tasting menu, yet neither of those were offered. So I requested a wine list and still the online offering was not mentioned. Curious, I asked and was given the key (bottles have an asterisk on the menu) I also asked about the tasting menu and was then offered that menu option as well. Why would you not offer these specials to your guests? We settled on regular menu and a wine special- a Joseph Drouhin Chablis as I had recently visited their sister winery in Oregon. As said previously food and drink were great. Final insult, check delivered with the wine at full cost. I just ended up being annoyed at the tiny misses and insults that were sprinkled through what I had hoped to be a lovely evening. It feels to me that assumptions were made about 2 women dining and what our wants and needs might be. Blue Morel, it would be great if you could get the front of house to meet the level of your food because to me it was just a complete disconnect.More

Not as robust variety as expected at this level of a Bonvoy property.No omelet bar, but did have smoked salmon and other meats and cheeses.
