This was my first time. Service, food and entertainment were all excellent. Wonderful live music. Not at all offended by the prices if you understand freshness and quality. Owner went above and beyond to accommodate my party. I will definitely go back.

This was not our first time dining at South + Pine but our first time there for outdoor dining. My wife and I were thrilled when the hostess politely asked a group of eight who walked up to her station to put their masks on....Well done! During our dinner, I noticed how the staff wiped down chairs as well as tables to keep everything sanitized. It was also convenient to scan the QR code so we could read the menu on our phones. South + Pine is certainly doing their part to make outdoor dining doable. The food was delicious, We enjoyed sharing gazpacho and crispy squash blossoms. My wife had the grilled swordfish and I had a pasta special, which was delicious! We ended with the butterscotch pudding, a sweet ending. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The fact that there was live music made the whole dinner that much more enjoyable! A damn burger is $26.00? A tablespoon of Tofu $9 and a bowl of rice and veggies $17 Service was okay. Food was average, but enormously expensive!!!! Not worth the price.

We ate here with 2 other couples before a show at MAYO Theater in Morristown. First will address the ambiance. We were seated at a table at the front window with the sun glaring into the restaurant. Two of our friends had to wear sunglasses...during the meal and another a hat to block the glare. Like many restaurants, music was playing over speakers. It was loud making it difficult to hear each other and maybe it was designed for younger people, although most of us were over 50 and probably over 60. After requesting the music to be lowered, it was which is a credit to the restaurant, but before we left the volume seemed to increase. For our meal, we first ordered a pear salad. Didn't see much pear and it seemed very dry having little or no dressing. For the main course, I ordered homemade linguini with crabmeat. It was okay, did have plenty of crabmeat but seemed plain. It needed some seasoning. My wife ordered spaghetti sqush with vegetables and I had a taste and thought it was excellent. Three of our party ordered artic char but the manager came out to explain, they were all out. Since the restaurant had just reopened for the evening, it was odd that the server did not already know that. Unfortunately, did not have time before the show to enjoy dessert. The service was good. We have eaten here several times but this time was disappointing.More

I'd say this is a public service announcement. This place charges $5 split fees for entrees. My 3 friends and I went here before an event at the MPAC. We weren't overly hungry so decided to split 4 appetizers, a salad and an entree. We...were told there would be a split fee of $5 pp because we were ordering only 1 entree. Because of this we changed our order to 2 entrees and less appetizers so there would only be $10 of split fees. The appetizers were basically a bite or two for each of us ranging from $13-$17. This was not a case of the $30+ entrees were too expensive, we simply weren't that hungry. I don't know if the fact that I said we were going to split everything made a difference. Maybe if you each person ordered separately, you wouldn't be charged. But needless to say, the whole thing left a bad taste. The food was very good, not worth the price or the extra charges. Will not be back.More

The location is excellent if going to a show at the Mayo. The restaurant is small and seating is limited so I would recommend reservations. The menu is limited and a bit pricey but the food is excellent.

The carrot soup is very good. It has just a touch if kick to it. The artichoke salad with poached egg was delicious....the combinations if the flavors made my taste buds cheer.
