Firstly, make sure you turn left when heading down from the main car park. It's then across a field and a half, and down and up some steps. 5-10 minutes walk maximum Note it's cash only, and not the cheapest, but the quality is well...More

I just love the idea of a take away that's not really a take away. The food is well prepared and served from a hut, you pick a table and sit and eat, when you've collected your food, looking out over a glorious bay. The...More

Just happened to be on the beach for a short stroll - saw the Hidden Hut up the hill - what a find. Hot & cold drinks - cakes, hot pasties and god knows what - but a real little hidden gem of a place....More

The food was very good but I'd avoid the pasties. I went to the hidden hut with three family members and between us had the mackerel pate, which was very nice, the goulash, which was exceptional and the squid stew which I was informed was...More

After a shortish walk from the car park, we had lunch with my boyfriend at this cute spot! We had the most amazing cod stew and goulash served in recyclable boxes, both with thoughtful accompaniments such as pickle, cous cous and pitta (they give you...More

Wonderful tasty food from a hut in the dunes. Warming soups and delicious stews and good snacks. A great pit stop during our walk.

This place reminded me, in a v good way, of Sydney, Australia - young, cheerful and efficient staff & great food. You order at the left - the shutters of the ordering window are folded back when the place is open, revealing blackboard menus. To...More

Heading out on a long out-and-back walk on the South-West Coastal Path, our planned turnaround point was the Hidden Hut, and thankfully it wasn't as difficult to find as the name suggested. Indeed it wasn't hard for anyone to find, given there's a car park...More

We also took our older dog and parked at the bottom of road and walked across the beach which would be better than walking from car park just before portscatho.

Hi, you can park on the top road car park and walk down through a field (a signed public footpath) to the Hidden Hut.

I've just had a look on Google Maps and a ferry to Place Creek, followed by the walk along the South West Coast Path (via the tip of St Anthony Head) is apparently 7.1 miles or 2 hours, 20 minutes.
