We visited here a few times during a recent visit to the area. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It is kid and dog friendly and this is championed by the staff who make every effort to make you welcome. A must try is the brownies and flapjacks which are freshly made daily and gorgeous

We arrived having booked a table in person to find no table prepared It was almost as though we were not expected. We were shown to a table that was very cramped fpr 5 people. A waitress then offered us a table upstairs with more room. We ordered drinks at the same time as the food but these did not... More

When for a meal late afternoon on Easter Sunday. We booked a table at the Plume after we had ate there earlier in the week. A really friendly pub with a selection of Cornish beers and excellent food. Very good value for money. Would recommend this pub to anyone visiting the area. Portscatho works well as a lunch time stop-off... More

Staying in a local hotel we wandered to this Inn to find they were fully booked for a meal. However, we took a table outside. After the starter they found us a table inside so there was obviously attention to detail as they were very busy. The food was very good, the beer well kept - this is not always... More

We are renting a cottage a stone's throw away from this pub and had breakfast there this morning. Friendly service, great coffee and really, really good Egg Benedict. Gorgeous hollandaise, creamy poached eggs with perfectly cooked runny yolks, crispy ham on a toasted muffin. Heaven! Just worried if I will be able to resist the temptation to have them every... When you chance upon a place, you have no idea what to expect. We wanted a light lunch before setting out on a beautiful sunny afternoon's walk along the SW Coast Path. There were several things on the menu which looked good but we both chose the smoked haddock fishcake with spinach and poached egg. Understated with no silly balsamic... More

Years since I'd been here and what a joy to be back. An absolute model of how a pub should be. Seemed to have loads of locals chatting by the bar (and an excellent swarm of dogs milling around too) but plenty of tables for food as well. Felt like the heart had not been ripped out of it to... More

Fabulous Sunday lunch at the plume of feathers. We weren't expecting anything special but the experience from start to finish was top notch. Generous portions of very well cooked meals and really great attentive service. Reasonably priced too. Would recommend highly.

Description
The Plume of Feathers is a 17th century traditional Cornish coastal pub, offering hand pull beers and great food. On May 1st 2016 we opened our 5 en-suite B&B rooms above the Plume, the rooms are beautifully appointed and the convenience of being in the center of Portscatho is a great base to discover the Roseland. Colin & Paul Marriott, yes twins, you're not seeing double, took over the Plume from Graham Thomas in October 2013 after Grahams mighty 35 year reign and are indebted to him for his grace and support. His legacy of a friendly welcoming pub continues to be paramount.
