Hubby and I stopped in here on the spur of the moment while on our way to Clyde falls one day. We had a beautiful meal, promptly served featuring local seasonal produce. There was a good selection of ales, a cosy and welcoming environment and the staff were friendly and helpful. Can't recommend the place highly enough. Shame we're not... More

You would think with beautiful location and beautiful building you would enjoy a meal here......WRONG!!!!!!! Just pop to Iceland and buy the same food they serve for a fraction of the price. The quality is very poor, staff need cheering up and should focus more on serving than hanging out the window shouting out to people they know. Maybe a... More

Absolutely marvellous meal ! I took my Mother a day late for Mother's Day, ( she had been away on the Sunday), and what a pleasant surprise! The meals were fantastic and VERY tasty, and nothing was too much for the staff, whom were very pleasant and welcoming. Presentation was beautiful, and when I saw my dish I couldn't wait... More

We stopped here for a meal on the way up to Edinburgh. The staff were so friendly and the food so good that we returned on our way home.

I've been here many times going back over 20 years. At one time a meal here was something special in the area, but sadly no longer. While other restaurants and inns in the area have have gone gastro, Coulter Mill has gone backwards. What the menu described as hot cheesy nachos was cold soggy nachos. The only cheese in evidence... We stopped in for lunch on way to Leadhills. We're told by staff that could take dog in. Menu had quite a few options we could've opted for! Settled eventually for macaroni, steak pie and burger. We were were pleased to see that the food that came out before ours was excellently laid out and looked great! Macaroni was lovely... More

We took our Great Dane Puppy, and couldn't believe how welcoming they were to her (not every dog friendly establishment is as welcoming when they see the size of her!). Our waitress was extremely knowledgable and friendly, our food was served in a timely manner and was all excellent. The pheasant was frankly some of the best I've had! My... More

I was advised of this Pub/Restaurant, when staying at the Station House B&B, with one thing close to my heart being Food. First impressions are oh dear, but have to say, Wow!. The Steak I ordered was absolutely perfect in every way, Quality, Texture, not to mention all the trimmings. The tastebuds were, more than satisfied with the whole experience,... More
