Fantastic spread of delicious dishes. Soup to nuts would accurately describe this buffet as the spread started with delicious soup, several salad selections, fish, meats, eggs, grits, greens, and several vegetable options. After all the lovely meal selections, inclusive of great tea and coffee, a...More

If you can avoid the popular tour buses, head to the Carriage House for a delicious, real southern lunch. The fried chicken and sides will suffice the hungriest of appetites!

This is just a old restaurant that was the place to go at one time. It needs a little TLC, but the food is still good, but it is a little overpriced. The little biscuits did not seem to be a good as it once...More

The food is amazing and everything is homemade. There is not one things we had that we would come close to complaining about. The chef is amazing and take very much pride in how his dishes are presented. If you are visiting the Straton Hall...More

Came with our Winnibago RV group. I was not impressed. The chicken was only fair. It was soggy. The potatoes had too much cheese and the shrimp and catfish was terrible. I don't recommend. Ratings...fair.

Southern cuisine at its best. The chicken salad, salad, Lima beans, and tiny biscuits were great. The house Chardonnay was very good as was the service. Glad we lunched here after touring Stanton Hall.

The restaurant is old and dated but is still nice. The menu is limited but the food is good. We were basically the only ones in the place. Ok, but not great.

Chef Bingo Starr adds a touch of New Orleans to all his entrees. Locals frequent the Carriage House daily, and tourists who visit historic Stanton Hall, often dine there following house tours as it's on the grounds of the historic home.

Had lunch there on our anniversary. The gumbo was very good but the grilled redfish was over cooked and dry. Service was average but the location was nice.

My wife & I didn't go to the Sunday brunch. We went to the Amos Polk - Voices of Hope show and buffet. They did have a full bar and it was open. You may want to call and check to see if they serve alcohol on Sunday. Doug... More
