Arriving in Goderich around lunch hour we decided to try the Beach Street Station with its scenic view of Lake Huron. We were lucky to "score" the last seat near the windows. We each started off with a pint of beer...one having a basic Stella...and myself a beer called Square Brew...very nice. For eats my husband ordered the 3 piece Yellow Perch dinner and I opted for the Fried Chicken Sandwich. The meals arrived in decent time served by Kate who was friendly and pleasant. My husband was disappointed to see his perch was battered in what you would expect English Style fish and chips to be. He expected it to be lightly breaded ( or floured ) and pan fried at most ...needless to say he wasn't thrilled with it. My fried chicken sandwich was just that...a piece of chicken ...with a little too much batter, fried and put on a bun. It was nothing to rave about . Its a shame we were both disappointed in our meals as they were not cheap. The perch was probably in the right price range but the chicken sandwich at $ 16.00 was not worth it. The restaurant was very clean and pleasantly decorated. The washrooms were among the cleanest we have seen anywhere. The staff was friendly.More

My wife, daughter and I have been a few times. We have eaten outside and inside. This is best spot to be, for a lovely sunset view over Lake Huron while dining on great food! The service and food are great!

We have eaten here or on take out frequently and have never been disappointed and I might add here both my husband and myself are quite picky when it comes to our food. The staff go above and beyond to make your dinner unforgettable and...the food is prepared with love! Seafood Linguine is very special and the Perch or Haddock and chips - could not get better anywhere! The steak was done to perfection - I asked for medium rare and it was perfect as was the potatoes and veggies. I cannot make any negative statements about this restaurant!!! I might add that below it wants to know when you visited - my statement covers many visits over the time of its existance.More

My husband and I had a great meal at the Beach Street Station. The location is great - the view of the lake is beautiful and dining in the old train station is very neat! I had the perch tacos and my husband the fish...and chips. Both excellent. Our server was great. Everything was very clean and socially distanced.More

We had a drink and appetizer here and loved the patio and the view. This is a renovated train station and the architecture is stunning inside. The service was very attentive and the food is what can be expected from a "pub". Prices are reasonable...and is well worth a visit.More

Very nice location and very nice building. Food is overpriced for what you actually get (like big time) and I am pretty sure our server was not fit for duty (pretty sure she indulged a little too hard with the devil's lettuce before her shift)....The servers were nice enough people but I do not believe customer service was their top priority. Perhaps some refresher training in relation to service industry expectations at a basic level should be considered. Another item that management here could reconsider is the insane amount of money they charge for things. Also: please make sure the beer you serve from the tap is actually cold. Thanks.More

We have eaten her more than 5 times, always on the patio. Every single time our service was fantastic, our food was hot and perfectly cooked and more than anything out view of the sunset was spectacular. All staff are wearing masks and guests must...wear a mask to enter inside. We watched as staff cleaned and disinfected every menu and all the tables between guests. We will definitely return!More

This was our first restaurant stop in the area after our drive up, and an afternoon horse back riding! I had read great reviews, and thought it would be nice for my girls and I to enjoy! The patio was big and beautiful, as was...the view! Server was very friendly when she came around, but we had 2-3 other staff members who brought the food, cleared the table and brought us take out containers...as a person in the same industry, I am hoping they pool tips! We went all out, with crab cake appetizer (aioli was great, cakes were average for 3 smallish cakes $15) caesar salad, beef burger, chicken burger and fish and chips. I opted not to go with perch as we live on Lake Erie and have it locally all the time. The haddock pieces were very large! Should have stuck with just 1 piece! By far the chicken burger was the best thing we had...almost the whole trip! If I go back, I will order less, as we were in a hotel but overall a nice experience. Thought the $4 price tag on a fountain pop a little much - especially since there wasn't refills! Would still recommend.More
