I was familiar with this location from the show “You Gotta Eat Here” and it was absolutely right, you definitely do… The service was excellent the food was incredible with large delicious portions and the beer was ice cold! you make all that very affordable and with great service like from our server “Sandi” and you have a winner! We will definitely be back!

The wait was worth it! The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely exquisite! Very unique flavors and lots to choose from. Portion sizes are large. Literally every dish that went by us looked phenomenal! Friendly and courteous and well priced for a modest budget. Definitely worth the hour and a half drive for us and we will be back!

Casual spot with tasty food and good service. I enjoyed the grilled rainbow trout. I also enjoyed my starter Greek salad (but Willy's could do with serving it on a bigger plate as it was spilling off the sides).

These positive reviews must be from when the previous owner owned this restaurant. The food was extremely disappointing. The piece of fish for the one piece dinner was about 3” long or maybe 1 ounce. The fries were the cheapest shoe sting fries you can buy and they were cold Al 4 meals were barely worth eating and the service extremely slow. We won’t be back

Tried to visit on an earlier visit during the summer but very busy so planned an October visit when it was quieter. Still very busy. I opted for the daily special which was a bit disappointing - deep fried fish with 2 sides( Had greek salad and chowder). The sides were OK but alas the fish...overcooked, overbattered and tasteless (I had just returned from Atlantic Canada and perhaps was a bit spoiled in my taste for fish). Pleasant service and certainly loved by the locals (Goderichians?) I will give them another try next time in the neighbourhood...but avoid the fish.

DH and I ordered Chicken & Waffles eggs Benny ( his usual go to is eggs Benedict). I was disappointed with my meal- IMO, the waffles we’re all undercooked ( pale and rubbery), and the chicken were chicken ‘strips’ - not what I was expecting, especially for the price. The place was busy, seemed to be the local morning coffee gathering place. Would maybe return and try something different on the menu.

We have in the past really enjoyed West Street Willy's. It was a regular stol for a great casual meal when visiting Goderich. Yesterday we did not even get to a table. The sign outside clearly stated to go in to meet with staff to get a table, so we did, behind other waiting patrons.
A waitress came through, taking food outside, and rarher harshly said to wait outside by the sign. The sign that said go inside to see the staff.
The railway station restaurant got our business. I highly recommend the lake perch and chips.

I am very sorry to hear this. That is not a normal here at our establishment! I know our sign says "please line up here, do not block entrance" as we do have servers delivering food out to the patio, as well as "see Hostess to be seated"
I am very sorry if one of our servers was rude, that is 100% not tolerated here!

Our expectations rose when we saw the “You Gotta Eat Here” sticker on the door. My husband and I like to cook, so we’re always looking for the things we can’t easily make at home. We were pleasantly excited to see our breakfast arrive. His, a chicken and waffle eggs Benedict and mine, a fruit covered waffle, were both delicious and beautifully presented. The coffee cup truly was bottomless and the service was pleasant and efficient. We’d come back!

With a group of six friends we drove quite a way to try this restaurant because we had heard how good it was.
I rang to try and make a booking but was told that there was no need to book that they would be able to fit seven of us in.
When we arrived, the restaurant was doing a roaring trade and the lovely lady who ushered us in had to do a bit of juggling, but she did a wonderful job finally getting us seated.
The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious.
Everyone in the party had variations of the chowder.. some with salads and chips some without, but all the meals were delicious.
I would recommend this as somewhere that everyone can enjoy.

We had not eaten since breakfast and looked at your reviews and decided to give it a try due to previous ratings. Service at first very good but this place was busy and once we recieved our meal, which was prompt the service was less attentive.
I ordered the cod fish and chips. Best cod and plentiful but I found the shoestring fries store bought frozen and the coleslaw less than satisfactory. My wife did enjoy her chicken Alfredo which she found good, however, after she had finished her beverage she wanted a glass of water. No water was presented when we first arrived and near the end the waitress did ask if she wanted a glass of water which unfortunately never arrived.

I was in town on business and some local friends took a colleague and I here for brunch. It was quite busy, which they tell me it often is. I can now see why. The menu has a lot of tempting choices but in the end (as recommended by a friend) I decided to go with the P.B & B and B. It was very different from any french toast I have had and it was delicious. I also tried a bit of the morning after poutine that someone else ordered and it was also very good. The food took a while to come, but when it did it was hot, fresh, and well prepared. It was definitely worth the wait. Our server was very friendly as well.

Very busy little restaurant, We had a trio (half sandwich, small soup and small salad) and panzarotti. Trio was very good. The panzarotti comes with 5 toppings - suggest less toppings as 5 was too much and made it very messy to eat.

We have been to Goderich on many occasions and have always meant to have lunch here but never had the chance until today. With covid we decided to take out and eat on a bench by the water. $38 for 2 burgers ( oiky dokey and Petes ) and 2 upgraded sides!!!!! I upgraded my shoestring fries to poutine which was almost laughable. The same shoe string fries but with maybe 6 small pieces of cheese on top. The gravy was so watery they put it in a tiny cup instead of on the fries. My husband upgraded to fish chowder ( about half of a cup) , super watery. The burgers were fine but nothing to write home about . I realize restaurants have had it rough with covid but to charge these prices for that food was ridiculous. I wonder if it was because we ordered take out they didn't seem to care? Wish we would have gone to the food truck instead. We won’t be back. Such a disappointment.

Last night i had the best dinner i have had in a very long time at west side willies I had blackened trout. it was simply delicious. the veggies were very flavourful the carrots were sweet. the zucchini was the flavor of juicy steak and the onions were zingy with a hint of wine. I sure will be coming back. Oh yes it was also gluten free.

Great food. We ordered breakfast take out during COVID. Food was great and a good size portion. The process was super easy to order and the food was hot and ready exactly when they said it would be.
