Make a reservation prior to sunset. Excellent view. The service was terrific and very helpful. A little expensive but on vacation need to spoil ourselves. Italian food menu which is almost being on Mulberry Street in NYC.

I am starting this review while still waiting for my meal. It's been 2.5 hours already, and after a few tiny morsels from the mandated price fixe menu for New Years Eve, it has been a major disappointment. Each of the "courses" was no more...More

Reminded me of the gardens in Italy by my grandfathers home. Candice was amazing, understanding my daughter's gluten free needs. Salads, appetizers, and the best was spaghetti bolognese. Dessert was amazing. Wine perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better dinner. Mahalo.More

Pricey but worth every cent.

Does the new restarting still serve breakfast? And if so what price range? Everyone's idea of "pricey" is different so I'm unsure.

about $40 per person
Has anyone else had any trouble hearing from this restaurant when they are confronted with a problem? We had a disappointing dining experience and made the staff aware at the restaurant, left voicemails and e-mails have had heard nothing back. This is a 5 star hotel and I can't believe no one is taking the time to respond. I know there is new management. SG

Hawaii's first and only Relais & Chateaux restaurant, The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea (formerly known as Capische?) offers a European-inspired elegance infused with creative island-to-table cuisine. Menus are created around what is readily available from Maui’s own farms and fisherman ensuring that each dish is prepared using only the finest local, seasonal and artisanal products; including those grown in the restaurant’s own garden and farming operation.

From its perch on the hillside above South Maui's Wailea resort area, the restaurant offers sweeping panoramic ocean views from the upper lanai and intimate dining under the stars in the garden.
