... but interestingly I've never been there for lunch. We've lost count of how many brunches we've had there, and also got the odd snack from the counter. My husband, 18 month old and I met up with friends yesterday and the menu had just switched to lunch. Like everything on offer at Old Mill, it was absolutely scrumptious! You... More

We arrive at 2:30pm for late lunch, we are informed no orders will be taken for another 30min as they handling overload from busy lunch session. Not worth wait 45min ..for 6xPrawns in Thai curry sauce and tiny serve of rice. When request for more rice, there is none!! Quality good, portions abysmal!

Five of us went for lunch here today (5/01/17). We got a lovely table inside straight way and sat down. We were unsure if we got table service so called over a waitress, who obligingly said that since we were a "big" table she would take our order. Two of the party ordered Fish and Chips, one ordered a scallop,... More

Can't beat the location really - we sat in shade in a pretty garden. Staff were lovely but the flat whites were insipid and the ice cream was overpriced supermarket-standard fare.

We stopped in here for afternoon tea a couple of days ago which was superb so came again for lunch. We had the prawn curry and the risotto whilst the boys had the sliders. Very nice food and great service.

As soon as you enter the Café you are welcomed by lovely friendly staff. The Food displayed in the Cabinet was very inviting, delicious and so fresh. There is a refreshing menu and there was plenty to choose from the cabinet. When we visited in November it was only open for Breakfast and Lunch.

We had breakfast in this beautiful bar in November. I can suggest The bacon and egg pie, and we loved the muffins too

A comfortable two-hour drive from Auckland City, The Old Mill Cafe resides opposite Tairua Marina overlooking picturesque Tairua Harbour. Nestled quietly at the base of Paku Hill. Great spot to come for fabulous breakfasts made with free-range eggs and free farmed bacon. A wide variety of options for lunch ranging from Fresh Coromandel Mussels to freshly caught fish and chips and epic beef pies for the meat lovers out there. We use fresh produce and focus on fresh seafood but we cater to all diets including Gluten free, Vegetarian and Vegan. We have a wide range of yummy cakes, quiches and pies to accompany your coffee by Allpress. And cocktails & platters are available from 3pm to 6pm just in time for sunset over Tairua Harbour. And to finish off try a Kapiti ice cream served in a cone. Our menu is seasonal. We are fully licensed and carry a discerning range of local, NZ and overseas wines, beers and ciders. Make sure you check out our international deli and fresh french artisan breads. Every Sunday we have live music!
