With Saipan recovering from typhoon Souledor, not many restaurants are open and those that are, operate at below optimum level (limited food items, no aircond etc). Even with this, the food here served was at good standards. Recommend the Beef Kelaguen and deep fried spicy chicken. Food prices are very reasonable.

One of our favorite spots for casual dining in Saipan! My husband and I love all their dishes. Must order Tofu, the kangkung, fried okra poppers, steak, and my fave the mentaiko spaghetti. We love the chef there...really cool guy! It can get a little warm but they do have extra fans blowing.

We stopped here for dinner and were pleased. The menu defies definition...sort of a Mexican,/Japanese/Italian fusion with garlic overtones. The portions are large and the eclectic selections really worked for us.

My husband and I were looking for a new place to add to our list where we could dine on Saipan. I tried the garlic steak. It was tough, overpriced and lacked seasoning. My husband ordered something but I cant remember what he ordered...... it was that average. We won't be back, but it is good we know. The search is... More

I really like the ribeye with fried garlic and butter. My husband likes the pizza deal that comes with beer. I have not experienced problems with the service. I think they could use a kid's menu--like a lot of places on the island.

I have eaten here several times and each time was with a group of 6 or more. The service was good and the food was excellent. I had the Mexican plate (and although there was some Spanish rice, it was really just barbecue) and it was delicious and the portions were huge.

While I love the food at this restaurant, the service makes me swear I will never go back again. Their food is truly amazing, but if they are busy, or the waitress doesn't particularly like you, you may never get all your food, although you may still get charged for it all. I waited for over an hour and a... More

This is the spot for all things garlic. It is a small busy restaurant and we were turned away the first time we tried to eat there. Like many things in Saipan, it may be helpful to speak Japanese. The food was internationally great, with reasonably priced items especially in the appetizer menu. We ordered multiple appetizers and shared them... More

I really like this restaurant. They have some simple yet delicious pasta dishes that are a sort of Japanese/Italian fusion (think olive oil and soy sauce) and their beef oyster sauce is quite tasty. But the best thing about Nin-Nikuya aka 2298 Garlic Grotto Restaurant (the restaurant has 4 names, if you understand Japanese you'll know why) is their TUNA... More
