We chose Michael's for a family dinner on a weekend trip. It was the only family-friendly non-fast-food place open that late and we really enjoyed the calm and quiet atmosphere. Our fresh oysters, soup, and steak with prawns meal were good, local wine tasted great. The only disappointment was our kid's meal - three huge pieces of dry chicken breast... More

We had to attend a meeting in Sequim, but opted to spend the night in Port Angeles. My husband had eaten at Michael years ago, but suggested to go there again, especially since it was also his birthday. Was I ever glad we had dinner there. The restaurant is downstairs, a wonderful old world atmosphere. We were greeted with a... More

My parents and I were only in Port Angeles for one night before we boarded the Ferry to Victoria. We needed to place to eat dinner and looked to trip advisor for some help. We were in the mood for Seafood and decided on Michael's. Boy, were we THRILLED with our decision. Not only is it a neat locale... most... More

I have lived in Cincinnati, Chicago, and Atlanta and travelled all over the country. This place prices in line with top tier restaurants in any big city so I will review accordingly. Is it 2 stars? Maybe not if you compare to area restaurants but again, you price with excellence you get compared to excellence. Come on in, walk down... More

This is casual fine dining at its best. Although it is family-friendly, think twice before bringing small children here. They will become bored and restless, which will ruin your meal and annoy other diners. The welcome we received from the hostess was genuinely warm and friendly. Our server was just as delightful. And then, there was the food...wow, where do... More

Service was very slow. My dish was supposed to have vegetables. I guess the salmon ate the vegies before it was cooked, because there weren't any on my plate. If you have bad knees, the twenty steps to the basement and back up are not for you. Food was mediocre.

When we walked in, we expected a wait stand and a room full of people, but instead it was a carpeted flight of stairs down to a very intimate feeling, sorta romantic bar area. Dining tables lined the sides. We did not make a reservation, but were greeted warmly and offered the... More
