Lunch was very nice. Steak salad was cooked well and seasoned. Others had the burger and the French dip. Both were good. It does get a bit noisy when the crowd hits. Service was attentive. Would go back.

We went to this place for dinner and again for brunch the next day. Split pea soup, stroganoff, CINAMON ROLL. Do not miss a chance to eat here.

Stopped here with a group of friends and this was a great spot for dinner. It typically very crowded but we only had to wait 10 minutes. Unique appetizers and main dishes.

Who would have thought that starters of Brussels sprouts and griddled cauliflower could be so incredibly tasty? Our family of six had dinner at The Copper Onion. All dishes were excellent. The trout, stroganoff, and hamburger were especially good. I'm a local and we love this place! Every time my Midwestern in-laws are in town we bring them to the Copper Onion because the salads and burgers are great. We ate at The Copper Onion over 5 years ago and were underwhelmed. Nothing bad, just nothing notable. This place is really good. Kind of a fancy vibe, but lots of hipsters too, so wearing a beanie would be acceptable. Good mix of people. The staff is good, and the chef great. We are fairly regular visitors to the SLC area and generally not been impressed by the food. The Copper Onion was recommended to us by a local for lunch. The Copper Onion is one of the new additions to the growing Utah foodie scene. Former NYC chef (and native Utahan) Ryan Lowder now brings his personal take on New American cuisine to his own kitchen with an approach inspired by his passion for Utah’s outstanding farmstead ingredients and his experience as a chef cooking his way through Barcelona, NYC and South America. The Copper Onion serves a wide array of vegetable side dishes and a menu designed to explore and share, with plates such as Ricotta dumplings with lemon, sage and brown butter and Braised Pork Belly with shaved Brussels sprouts and pickled celeriac. Entrees include Fresh house-made papparedelle with lamb ragout and Duck Confit with butternut squash and roasted mushroom caps. An insistent focus on the freshest and best is paramount; sausages and burgers are ground daily, bread is baked and ice cream is made in house, offering casual diners an exceptional experience at affordable prices.
