Complements to the owners for maintaining a cadre of very well qualified chefs. Started going when it was first opened. Food has remained way above anyone's average and the place next door too. Salads, pizza, fish and chips (one of my favorites), and the pizza are the best. Keep it up PSP.

I am told the beer and wine is great also. I do not drink spirits so I cannot comment. The food is very well prepared. These guys have some really good chefs/cooks. Fish and chips is the best. The hamburgers would fill the hungriest appetite. Nver seen anything like them. The Cesar salad is a favorite too.

We should have turned around and left the minute I asked about the Thursday special which was supposed to be a beer and Irish Whiskey. The whiskey was Seagram's which last I checked was produced in Canada not Ireland. We were headed to Red Rock Brewing next door but the queue was out the door and it was too hot... More

In town for business meeting and thought I'd go out and have a beer and a bite. I found this little place. I had a nice French dip sandwich and a couple of Coors lights. Atmosphere is very friendly, service is above-average, televisions to watch the games, a large outdoor patio space. If you're looking for a nice local pub,... More

Poplar has great food morning or night.. You cannot beat their $10 all you can eat brunch on Sundays.. Super YUM. They also make mimosas just the way I like them only a splash of orange juice. As for night food the only thing I have been disappointed in was the scotch eggs.. Expensive for only one and was pretty... More

Poplar is probably one of the most laid back bar/pubs in the dowtown SLC district. The food is typical pub with lots of choices of hamburgers, salads, some pasta, sandwiches, tacos, pizzas and some entrees. The Scotch egg is worth trying. Tonight I had the epic garden burger which was with some interesting flavors and toppings with jalapenos added for... More

We were wondering around SLC in the almost 100 degree heat and all of the restaurants in the neighborhood were not only full, but had long waiting lists (and were VERY noisy). We saw this rather unlikely looking place and went inside. It wasn't crowded and it wasn't noisy. We showed our ID (not something we do normally since we... More

Friends invited us to join them for Sunday Brunch at Poplar Street Pub. We arrived at 11am and were seated right away. I was very surprised at what was offered. Country fried steak, biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, French toast, eggs Benedict, pot stickers, sausage, bacon, made to order omelettes, chile verde, quiche, and assorted fruits... Watched a football game and had some delicious fish tacos. Service was great and food and drinks were wonderful!
