Great food and excellent service! Would eat there again when visiting SLC. Give it a try you will like it.

Chips and salsa are my favorite thing in eating Mexican food and theirs is just okay. The salsa is very chunky but without much flavor. Guacamole was decent. The shredded beef chimi was okay. The area right around Rio Grande has drastically declined, unfortunately. Likely won't be back.

Very good meal! Four of us all ordered something different, and we were all very happy with our choices. Will look forward to going back when we are in town again!

I was disappointed to find very few gluten-free options on the menu. Our server was kind enough to detail what was possible, but then would say "it only has a little bit of gluten in this" which made it very confusing to remember what I could and couldn't order.

After some debate about going due to grimly crowded homeless shelter nearby (enter from 300 South, NOT 200 South), we easily found a spot in the well lit and free parking lot and went inside where we found the same warm wood paneled atmosphere we remembered and helpful, upbeat staff. Waiter recommended Carnitas and the Halibut tacos, which we decided... More

Happened in to this little cafe as it was close to my hotel. Parking is on the street and easy to get a spot. I ordered a cheese enchilada and the PLATTER came filled with the enchilada, beans and rice, covered with melted cheese. The platter was so so hot and kept the food hot for a long time. Some... American-Mex a pleasant old cafe in a historic train station serving translated Mexican food. I don't need authentic to enjoy good food and I'm happy with what they serve. I could eat their salsa by the spoonful and nice ambiance.

I love this place, I only wish they would move locations. Sadly, due to the out of control homeless population in SLC- shelter directly across the street- it is no longer safe to even park and walk inside for a great meal. You will be surrounded by frightening homeless people on drugs or dealers themselves. I really hope they will... More

Went with our family for dinner. Very long wait to get in and then another long wait to get our food which was barely warm. Not sure we will return here. Seems to have gone downhill as well in quality of food.

Had a quick lunch here since it's close to the hotel. Food came fast...oddly fast. The refried beans were burned to the plate around the edges, suggests microwaved to me. Won't be back.
