So popular, even before being showcased on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives", the Red Iguana (and its sister restaurant - Red Iguana II) have amazing food that is well worth waiting for....which is good. Unless you get there around 5:00 pm or need a meal after 10:00 pm, you will easily wait for at least an hour to get in, if... More

I have been eating at the Red Iguana for over 20 years and the food is always delicious and consistent. Great Service. Try the enchilidas suizas, they are the best. The only draw back is there is not an inside location to wait for a table to open except for outside with no cover if it is raining or snowing.

I lived in Mexico for a few years and I love eating here because it reminds me so much of real Mexican food.

Great to see lineups all night on a cold Monday. Very helpful waitress offered me a sample mole plate to choose from. Fantastic mole! Big plates.

We ate here twice and both times the dishes with their mole were excellent one of the best food we had here in this area of salt lake and park city. The desert fried ice cream was worth the calories but don't bother with the tres leches nor the sopapilla.

I have been to this atrocity of a restaurant on two occasions and didn't enjoy either experience. Aesthetically it is very displeasing to me and I don't like when Mexican restaurants claim to be authentic but then serve cheap store bought tortilla chips. I cannot even recall what I had on both occasions but do remember it being wet, sloppy... More

We had a larger group about a dozen of us so had to wait about 30 min. until enough people left that they could move some tables together. Well worth the wait. Although it was crowded inside, the food was excellent! It's not a quite place, lots of hustle and bustle but that makes it a fun spot to be.... More

When I moved to SLC in 1999, people were raving about Red Iguana, and they still rave today. And that raving is well earned. This place has the most consistent high quality Mexican food that I've found - in Utah, California, Arizona, or New Mexico. When my children were small, the staff worked to find food that worked for their... More
