Staff are very accommodating--willing to explain items on the menu, make slight adjustments if needed and give a taste before ordering. Tasty sauces; nice smoothies; unique ingredients.

Guava Tree was our favorite meal while traveling in New Mexico. The quality of ingredients is very good, and the flavor combinations are fantastic. They make authentic foods with a small gourmet twist. Additionally they have wonderful vegetarian choices, which is hard to find with most latin or new mexican food. My (meat eating) husband got the vegetarian arepa and... More

Went is Sunday morning, after reading all the awesome reviews, im really no impressed place was too crowded for the personnel they have, so i waited 45 min for a Cuban Sandwich, which was ok, not the best like all those reviews said, consider i spended years in Miami. Prices are fair and the lady behind the counter was nice.... More

We had excellent authentic Cuban sandwiches in a quirky environment. Would definitely return when in Albuquerque. The staff was helpful, but I wish my Spanish was better. The yucca fries were quite delicious.

Guava Tree has become my "go to" place in Albuquerque when I'm hungry for a Cubano. In my opinion, it's the best I've ever had...and the sandwich is always consistently great. Had dinner there with my wife, daughter, and son-in-law and all the other menu items we tried were fantastic--arepas, tostones, yucca fries, salads. The only objection I had with... More

With construction on Central it's a little hard to get to, but so worth it. Sandwiches are huge. Their tea is spicy and delicious.

One of my stops when I travel to ABQ for work. Been sending people their way ever since I tried it first, to make sure more people know about this great option.

I had a fantastic lunch here with my parents, who have retired to Santa Fe. We stopped here after they picked me up from the airport. The Cubano was amazing as were the plantain and the Yucca basket. The Yucca came with a spicy mayonnaise like dipping sauce. I had the cinnamon lemonade, which was also fantastic. Would highly recommend... More

This is an out os the way cafe in the Nob Hill area of Albuquerque, near the University of New Mexico. Parking is limited, to maybe 6 slots, with meter parking available. There is also a paid lot behind the shop with plenty of slots, you park in a numbered slot, and shove a folded up dollar bill into the... More

A great little spot to taste authentic flavors of the Caribbean, Central and South America, made from scratch daily. Share, meet new people, and talk Spanish to the friendly staff. Take it home, call in from work, and come back. Repeat!
