We were in Albuquerque all week and this was our best meal. We trusted the waitress to fix a margarita ( your imagination is the limit if you want to decide yourself) and I had tequila shots which were great. Huge menu of tequila and...More

Had a great dinner at Zacateca's...the carne asada and the shrimp tacos were very flavorful, but were messy as the shells fell apart quite a bit! The black beans were good, especially with the accompanying cheese. This experience was enjoyable, with a vibrant atmosphere with...More

I have been dining at Zacatecas since they opened. The only down side I would say is sometimes the hours are limited. Whenever I have guests from out of town, I always take them here and sit at the bar. I get the guacamole with...More

Zacatecas has the best sangria in town and a wide selection of tequilas. Their house made chips, unusual salsas, and delicious guacamole as well as their entire taco selection are all outstanding. The wait staff is gracious and knowledgable about the tequilas. It's our favorite...More

If you like your Mexican food commercialized, foofoo-ized and yuppified, then this is the place. It's not bad, but it ain't great and it's a bit pricey. Perhaps the attraction is the full bar and the tequila - after all, enough of that and of...More

Great drinks and service at the bar! Noemi is fun and makes a great margarita, and the queso fundito appetizer is dynamite! Carne asada and Cod tacos are great, lots of different flavors and choices here. You won't find boring old enchiladas and beans onthw...More

It goes without saying that the drinks and food were excellent. What really stood out was the teamwork of the staff. The woman who greeted us (Brianna) was seamlessly slipping in and out of several hats. She escorted us to the bar to wait (Friday...More

I came in looking for an authentic ABQ experience and started making Breaking Bad references... They all got them... 5/5 tots recommend... The only reason ABQ is now popular is for the show... glad they embrace it...

The waitress was amazing, she made recommendations that were right on spot! Traditional margaritas were perfect, as were the Mussels and the Duck Relleno. We also went by her recommendations and ordered carne asada and carnitos tacos! I think I need a nap!!!

Visited this place with some friends to celebrate a birthday. Great open setting and with the weather nice, they had the “garage doors” open. We did not even realize we were there during happy hour so it was a nice surprise to see the discounts...More

Zacatecas is an authentic Mexican taqueria and tequila bar located in Nob Hill, Albuquerque created by Chef Mark Kiffin. Named for a region in central Mexico known for its classic, cross cultural blend of foods and recipes, Zacatecas offers a variety of soft tacos with fresh, organic ingredients and a Margarita bar featuring tequilas and beer exclusively from Mexico. Lunch and dinner menus include gourmet Mexican tacos (our shrimp tacos were featured on NM Style) served on warm Corn Tortillas, Tortas, Antojitos (appetizers), Postres (desserts), and classic Mexican specialties. Zacatecas also offers a bar menu featuring Signature Cocktails, South of the Border Specialties, Build-Your-Own Margaritas, Delicious Infusions, and an extensive selection of Tequila and Mezcal to compliment your dining experience. In addition to the food, part of the excitment at Zacatecas is the wide variety of events such as Dia de los Muertos Sugar Skull decorating, and Tequila Dinners!
